Hey all, I am the Jim Clark, 1965, Silverstone in Gloucestershire ... I absolutely love it!  Have completed a trip to the Alps and the Monaco GP, great roads, great car.

First Track day coming up on the 18th at Oulton Park, very excited.

I'm up for a meet however may not be picking the car up on wednesday as per my other post, im not happy with the paint finish. Few ripples in the bodywork. The other LF1 at Murrays is the same but not as bad. Iv been told this is standard lotus at Murrays, but been told otherwise on here

:-(

Hi Guys,

Just got back from my Lotus Factory tour, unfortunately I was 1 week to early to see my LF1 on the production line which was a shame but there were certainly a few LF1's dotted around at various stages of build, actually looked quite common as everywhere I looked there was LF1 :)

Mine has slipped back a week or so which is no problem, the good news is that there are only 2 LF1's left unsold now so it looks like it has been a big success for Lotus.

It was a great day though, my 3rd time now and it never gets boring, the only downside was that we ended up in the Lotus Merchandise shop where we couldn't resist filling the credit card with loads of Lotus goodies, many of them at 50% off which always helps you spend more than intended.

I have been so pre-occupied lately trying to find a good M100 that the LF1 has taken a bit of a back seat but after seeing the finished examples today all gleaming waiting for their new owners I must say that I am starting to get a little excited.

Cheers,

Good stuff - real shame you could not see yours though. There were a lot on the line when were were there.

Interested to know how many of those that have been sold are for dealers stock cars. I bet there are a few.

Of course, we can put the details on here. Not sure it will be in the immediate future as we have a few track days in the coming weeks and it would be good if those waiting (vipers, etc) for their cars could get them delivered. Maybe a crisp November morning?

Bedford on Saturday with MSV - just a gentle day, first time out in the V6 so to a track we know well. Then Oulton on the 18th, Silverstone & Donnington in November and Zolder in December as it stands.

Out for a Blat or on the Allotment

Just added my LF1 to the list (No. 27). This was a Jim Clark win in a 49. Have always been a fan of Lotus and JC. If anyone is interested I am friends with a very talented automotive artist Chris Dugan (www.christopherdugan.co.uk). I have spoke to Chris about commissioning a print of the LF1, the 49 and a head and shoulders of JC. I have no commercial interest but Chris said he may be interested in doing this for others.

I would definitely, definitely and definitely again be up for a LF1 / JC print, be cool if he could change the 49 to a 25 for me though :)

Quite tempted by the Lotus 24 and 48 print tbh, Chris is certainly a very talented man.

Look forward to seeing the LF1 prints.

Chris will do anything! I had an AM DBR1 with a picture of Stirling Moss which I got Sir Stirling to personally sign. No mean feat I can tell you. SO if you want the LF1, a 25 and JC I am sure that's possible. I will speak with Chris at the weekend. I would prefer for anyone interested to deal with him direct.

Yeah, I would be keen on a black and white custom job with large LF1 in the middle and previous models I have had around it; Excel, Esprit S3, Elise S1, Elise S2, and Exige S2 - kinda in the style of the Cortina Golden Jubilee.. will drop him an email soon.

I would love to get my LF1 plaque signed by Sir Stirling - got any leads to get in touch?

That's brilliant Danny, have a word with him and I'll fire him over a mail.

I've just put a deposit down on a M100 at long last, S2 in Red with 48K on the clock, would love a picture of the 2 cars together :-)
