yea, three was a bit excessive, I accidentally bought 2 when I wanted a second one... seemed a shame not to put it to good use. Editing them together is a bit time consuming. I bought an app that is supposed to do it - RaceRender, but it does not support the new 4k videos from the GoPro.

Great video's Tom, thanks for sharing, good to hear that the exhaust note is now coming into its own like you said.

I think I will make Silverstone my first track day, although I have to go on training first as stipulated by my insurance company to get track cover, they have recommended Car Limits, anyone ever dealt with them?

We are booked with them on the 4th February as a friend has the same stipulation in their insurance. I've always wanted to do one of their days so we are going along too. I have read a lot of good things over the years about them, there are a number of threads on the other lotus forum for owners in the south east if you do a search.

That's good to know, should be a fun experience as I'm sure we think we can all drive pretty well but in reality I'm probably pretty crap :) so although it is forced by the insurance company it should reap long term benefits.

I put my deposit down Mid September, but JCT has already comitted to 3 cars, one of which was mine, so it was never a 5 month factory order.  They had punted on 3 cars, I understand they have actually sold 5 in total.  Can highly recommend them, great guys!

I rang them too and asked for a price against my S2 Exige to trade upto an LF1, they didn't call me back until a week later which was the reception girl asking how was my experience with JCT. So they did have my number to ring back, so I told her I had bought a car from another dealer. She just put the phone down. Great CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Silverstone is awesome, but I would not want to do it as a first day. Bedford is pretty good, although pick your TDO... Lotus on Track would be my first choice there on first track day. We did Blyton with them as a first, but quite a trek which was also good. Silverstone also do taster sessions directly and are ATDO so insurance is not an issue. You can find them on their website or talk to Aims. They do sessions for different levels throughout the day.

Hi Simon,

I am just down the road form JCT. I am registered on NYLOC just not been up to a meet yet.

Had the call to say it was built on the 7th, so probably next week which is good as I am off all week.

Had my call on the 7th too, surprised they didn't bring them together.  Gonna be a long couple of days til Wednesday.  I'd be taking it to the Nyloc meet on the 25th, but its the wifes birthday and I don't reckon she'd be impressed!!!!  To be fair, I'm not very active in NYLOC, but its nice to mooch down on a summers eve and see a car park full of Lotus's

Thanks Tom, the taster session sounds good, I'll look into it.

I just come in to work to check my mails before heading over to collect mine but just got an e-mail to say that the detailing hasn't quite been finished so may go over this afternoon now if I don't get trapped in work, if not it will have to be Wednesday now, I'm sure I'll get there in the end :)
