Hi,

I own a 1981 DeLorean and it happens to have the same clock as a 1983 Esprit...I have been to many websites looking for this part# A089M6034F -the green clock in the 1983 lotus esprit...and was wondering if any of you could direct me to a parts store that would possibly have it....

Thanks,

DMCfan1981

If yours is the one with the green digital LED display then I think you face quite a challenge. Incredibly for an electronic clock neither of the two I've had showed any significant ability to keep accurate time! Now exceedingly scarce, I believe, so probably better to find a more modern substitute unless you're desperate to retain acccurate original spec'.

Probably explains why everyone on the Factory day was asking me about my clock! Mine keeps time perfectly!

Have you tried Lotus Bits or Pete at PNM? Pete is very good at knowing what else our parts were used on and may know of another car with it?

Regards

Mat

DMC Houston had a pile of them last time I was there but they would not sell them. You could try Toby Peterson at DPNW (DeLorean Parts Northwest), Ed Uding at DMC Europe (DeLorean Motor Company Europe) or I managed to buy some from Bob Miller in NC a few years back. Or try Don Steiger at DeLorean Motor Centre in CA, DeLorean Motor Center, he has lots of used parts for sale.

I have found they keep reasonable time if you drive the car a daily but when not driven mine gains time

That must be why the cars deteriorate quicker when not used than when in regular use!
