Can anyone tell me what the oil pressure should be in a charge cooled Esprit

Depends on temp and engine rev. Should all be in your handbook!

If by the stock gauge, what I see on mine with 38,000 miles:

First start : between 1 to 2 ticks past center on the gauge...2 ticks if it is real cold out

Idle at 80 C: about 1 1/2 ticks to 2

Cruising once warm: middle of gauge (3rd tick)

I also notice that the longer the car is driven, these reading slightly lower. Especially with lots of traffic.

I was under the assumption that each tick is one bar = 14.7 psi?

So approx. 21 psi at idle warm, approx 45 psi cruising warm (2500-3000 rpm), approx 60-75 psi at cold start

This is all assuming that my gauge is reading correct.
