Lotus Evora 400

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! I'm new here!

Current driving a Porsche 997 GT3 and just ordered a Evora 400 in White with Alcantara red interior.

Has anyone noticed that on Lotus official page, the black front lip has been removed from black pack option. Does it mean that the front lip will be in black regardless if black pack is chosen or not? Thanks.

Welcome. Keeping both or is the evora a replacement?

Maybe USA cars don't ship at all until spring?? *shrugs*

Ah yes, tales of global warming are sadly untrue and as we all now the Atlantic freezes over from October to March every year - how else did we European's manage to get across and colonise North Amercia - ships, pah, nonsense.

The only recourse is for us all to drive our Lotus cars more frequently, for longer distances and much harder than ever before. That way we can be sure to stop the Atlantic from freezing over so Brian can get his car quicker. After all, oil has never been so abundant and cheap. I feel like I'm back in the swinging 60's again and life's good.   :)

By the way Brian, whereabouts in Ohio are you, I used to spend a fair amount of time in Cincinnati, both summer and winter !

In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

I'm in Columbus area. Hilliard specifically. :)

..and I was not implying the world was frozen, only that red tape, regulations, etc. may require a hold on the import until a certain authorized 'street date'

Shucks, I know Brian, I was just playing with you!   :ball:  :bounce:  :scared:

Wasn't ever able to get that far North in the State but I bet you have some great driving roads out in the country around there...

Hehe. I know. :)

And yes there are miles and miles of curvey roads rolling thru corn fields and heavily wooded areas just 10 minutes west of me.

I'm trading in the espritV8 today to make room (in my wallet and garage) for the 400.

It's terrible. I feel like a part of me is dieing.

Well I'm green with envy - both for the Esprit and the Evora.  Good show and enjoy it on those twisty bits. I'm sure it will blow your socks off....

For those of you on the right side of the pond, when do you expect for the first deliveries to take place?  I'd heard end of August for the first ones...but here we are and I see no pics of delivered cars :(

The lack of media on this car is maddening!

Are all dealers expected to receive the demonstrators shortly or is this to be phased?

There would be no point in phasing it, they're all chomping at the bit to get theirs. I'd not be surprised if all dealers had their demos by the middle of this week.

In a wonderful piece of timing, Bell & Colvill's demo arrived at their showroom 18 mins ago!!

I see that LOTUS has really listened to their customers and insisted on keeping the hideous lettering above the SatNav screen. Is a Black Felt pen an optional extra?

I couldn't see the point either but having registered my interest with Lotus and been in regular contact with their team the trail has gone somewhat quiet over the last fortnight.

I'm guessing the LOTUS lettering is simply glued on. A bit of dental floss oughta take care of that without any damage to the underlying leather....

I must admit I've been having impure thoughts about trading Esprits for an Evora (NA or S for me though)...
