Shiny new boots

Recommended Posts

Posted in the Evora thread but thought I would add here for the local Lotus owners, especially Fife / Tayside area.

Just had my stealth grey wheels painted a shiny gloss black - local mobile guy and details below. A good price, easy to deal with and arrived on time / worked clean and quick etc.

A couple of pictures to show the outcome:

My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

Car looks ace.  I have the 19/20 diamond cut wheels in gloss black and with ardent red look awesome.  Did he lacquer them on top of the black and did you need any kerb marks filled as well.  Go on you can tell us.  We all have!  I certainly have a few touch ups.  Be aware the slightest chip mark shows up terribly on the black background.  ;)

Does he remove the tyre during the process or just pop them and re-inflate?  Reason I ask is I have my winters on those wheels but in a satin black and I was thinking of a refurb to remove damage on them and go gloss at the same time.  Can you PM me the price for 4 if you don't want to post up.

Cheers.
