I would have a shot at guesing but I get the feeling the prize may turn out to be the crusty rag

When the engine parts come in I will be heading back up with Caroline and Aaron to complete the work. So that we can mess Simons house up again

Here's a couple of pics of the first weekends workforce hard at it.

Well

Got home from work today and headed straight to the garage..... after a little knap...!!!!

Found all the spacers for the anti roll bar..... de-rusted all 12 of them....

Fount the rubber seals for between the caliper brackets and uprights....

Fitted the caliper brackets, disc shield, steering arms and new track rod ends.....

Cleaned up both disks, (not with a wire brush Troy, with the fibre brush!!!) fitted them to the hubs.....

Placed the hubs into position to take some piccies (cant get the photos till tomorrow or Friday sorry.....!!!)

Got to pick some nuts and bots on the way home from work tomorrow and then back in the Garage.....

Will fit the Anti roll bar tomorrow, thats the front suspension finished then...!!!! Possible try to fit the radiator, oil cooler and the rest of the front end tomorrow.......

Should be able to spend the whole day on it on Friday as I'll be taking a TOIL day, see how far I get I guess.....!!!!!

Maybe get very pissed ALL day Saturday, been offered a ticket to the Millenium Stadium to watch the rugby all day...!!!!

Maybe work on the car Sunday if I get out of bed........

Monday if Its still nice I think a bike ride is in order, then back in the garage...!!!!

Hoping not to wear myself out before I even get started on my car...!!!!!!

i acquired 1/2"unf nyloc nuts today ( the shorter length) to replace the temp ones on the suspension, about 20 of them, but i don't know how to get them down there to you, maybe i could hand them to someone at Oxford?

Troy, can you tell me if you would still want them (can keep them for myself anyway if not )and is there enough or would more be necessary?

Dont think much is going to be happening on the car tonight.....

Stuck in Worcester providing some support case of a near miss on mail clearance last night, things r looking pretty good at present so may head off home in a min.... gotta drop off the turbo oil feed pipe so we can get new annodised fittings and find some 12mm i/d tube to replace the missing spacer tube from the anti roll bar bush....

See how drunk I get later as to wether I make it in the garage or not...!!!!!!

Just for you:

It seems that fate doesn't want me to post my pics here. First I found that Bibs had wiped them from my camera. When I got them back , I decided to try a different image hosting site as my old one had proved unreliable. Only once I'd resized 200 pics and uploaded 85Mb did I find out that you can't post links to the full size pics, only thumbnails like above . So, back to my old site after a further round of resizing to comply with their limits. I then compose my opus magnum, only to lose it once, then the second time I find I've hit the max image limit

I've given up trying now, so to see the pics, you'll have to wander over to the gallery here. They're in reverse chronological order, so click on the last image & keep clicking prev to see them in order. I've not uploaded the Punky snoring video yet, so you'll have to wait a bit for a laff.

What a weekend! What an incredible bunch of people, no egos, great team spirit, and everyone mucking in to get the job done. Hard work and hard play - it was an awesome experience and one I'll never forget (despite consuming vast quantities of alcohol)

Big thanks to all involved.

Well our friendly Oger has been busy the last few days I'll leave it for him to post but he has made some good progress with getting a few of the bits back on the car. Oh and it does look lovely.

Well not got much done on the car today, popped out on my bike for a little ride and ended up here in Blackpool.....!!!!!! Think I'm gonna be staying the night.....

Finished on the car about 11pm last night, thought I'd get to work on your spanky new raditor Graham.....!!!

Bolted the oil cooler & Radiator to the front ducting, fitted the two remaining working fans, cut the bolts down to size to save weight...!!! LOL

Jacked the whole unit into place and bolted it up to the body.... looks good......

Being an impatient bugger I couldnt wait for the new antiroll bar bush spacer tube to arrive... (we seem to have lost one during all the work over the last few weeks....) scratched my head for several hours, (on the bottom of the car as I was fitting the radiator n stuff.....)

BING!!! IDEA......!!!!!!!

The lower bush on the old shock absorbers looked to be just what I was looking for...... finally scewed the vice to the bench!!!!! and pressed out the steel insert from the rubber of the bush using various sockets.......

Inside diameter was spot on, but the outside was 1mm too big......

So, not being one to turn down a challenge, I took to removing 0.5mm or material from the entire outer surface of the tube..... A superb job even if I do say so myself......!!!!!!

With that done, the anti roll bar is also now ftted to the car.......!!!!!

Then I went for beer.....!!!!!!!

Taken loads of photos and will try and get some on here tomorrow.......

Now I need to go eat and drink even more beer.....!!!!!!
