My First Lotus in Cambridge

Hi All

I always seem to wade into forums without introducing myself, so here goes, if a little late.

My name's Martyn and just over two weeks ago I ordered my first Lotus. A Sport 350 coupé in a custom, one off red. I considered buying used, but really hankered after making something unique. My wife and I built our Caterham R300, so are very used to setting our own spec.

Now I've got the two month or so wait stretching out in front of me, but it's nice having something so epic to look forward to.

Great choice, congratulations. Under-rated car even among these parts, such a strong package. Does this red have a name? Is it used on other cars? We can photoshop something for you if that would help.

Cheers, yes it'll be Rouge Flamme. Very popular on mass produced Euroboxes, but should look quite remarkable on a low slung, curvy machine like the Exige.

Good news from Simon today was he was expecting the car to be built this month, which would be very nice!
