Great stuff!

Good to see you're enjoying both of them. But it definitely looks like more of a 211 track than a V6 CupR track.

I would expect the Exige to pull a bigger gap over a faster track, assuming the 311 has no more than 260bhp at least.

Cup R seemed a bit quicker down the straight at 131 against the 311's 129 but a second a lap slower.

Thanks for posting.

Trevor.

Thanks …. actually the best lap times for both were separated by .08 seconds. ;)

The V6 was run late in the afternoon, so somewhat warmer temps--we know how that affects the V6 non-intercooled engine.

Jonny, the 211 has a modified motor with a FastWorks tune, although it's getting a bit tired  -- it's putting out ~ 270 HP to the rear wheels.

I thought it looked fast! 211s usually need a bit of help to keep up with a V6 CupR in a straight line. Stunning pair of cars. I really like the AIM dash in the Exige, would like to fit one myself.

Yeah, actually  the power to weight ratios (using RWHP numbers) for these two cars favors the 211.  Although the sequential tranny helps to make up for some of the difference.

1590/270 = ~5.9 lbs/hp    VS     2190/305 = ~7.2 lbs/hp ….. based upon dyno results of both cars.  V6 torque numbers are obviously superior.

But, as I mentioned, the 211 motor is getting a bit tired -- time for a refresh.  The 270 RWHP number for the 211 was when the motor was newly installed.
