Binnacle remove refit

I need to remove the binnacle cover so that I can fit the handsfree mic for my stereo. Has anyone come across a good set of instruction for doing this? Preferably with pics.

If I recall correctly, the top cowling may just be velcro'd on, and the instrument itself retained with clips, so requires pulling forward to unmounts (possibly after removing / partially removing the trim either side). Sorry can't be of more help at this point.

On my last V6 I had the Mike fixed on top of the steering column.

Meant I only had to take apart the two plastic steering column cowling parts and thread the wire through to the back of the stereo.

And @Rancid Andy, that's exactly my intended install spot. Worked surprisingly well with the MX-5.

I'd say taking off the steering cowling is easier, and will go back together better.
