It looks very much like a pre MY12 NA to me. Nothing wrong with that at all. I would say the chrome rear light surrounds and the interior door pulls are the key to it being an earlier spec car.

It's a non Lotus specialist dealer and to be honest they look as though they've just pulled together some buzzwords from the Lotus Bingo game that they probably think are right, but are not. 

It is not a launch edition.

I doubt the dealer is trying to do anything sinister, just not fully aware of the Evora specs etc, which, given their number in the wild, is not hard to believe.
