  1. Jon Looks like you had a thoroughly crap day then.... Superb pics. Seeing the Le Mans Aston Martin reminded me that Prodrive (ran the AM team) have got a couple of open days at the end of July - more info. here James
  2. Please tell me it was just on static display and wasn't actually running
  3. Have you chaps been able to find rooms for the 21st July? If not, would the following Friday (28th) work better?
  4. No. 4 looks like (s)he doesn't take prisoners
  5. Either'll suit me. But agree with Howard re those who have furthest to travel.
  6. His website - must've thought that changing his username would lose his previous feedback/reputation
  7. Could be a Jaguar SS100, although not sure if they were ever produced in left hand drive. But there are some excellent replicas around - the best probably being from Suffolk Sportscar Engineering.
  8. How about Friday afternoon/evening then? It's a non-school night; also the only day I can make Like the sound of the overnighter but will have to give it a miss this time cos of committments for the Saturday morning. So I'll need to get back to Liverpool Street for the last train home at 23:30, and then try not to end up in Ipswich/Norwich (wouldn't be the first time). As to food, it doesn't necessarily have to be curry. So if anyone has any alternative suggestions feel free to pitch 'em in. James
  9. 20th - 30th July (inc) Motorshow website I'm definitely going. Not sure which day; probably 21st (Friday). Provisional plan - show mid/late afternoon followed by beer/curry. If anyone else would like to join us for the evening they'd be more than welcome .
  10. For anyone who hasn't been, the FoS is a superb day out and a 'must do' for anyone into cars and/or motorsport. I've been every year for the last 5 years or so, and have thoroughly enjoyed it each time. But the most memorable moment for me happened the first year I attended - being bumped into (literally) by a petite blonde woman clad in full leathers. Turned around to find myself face to face with VBH, who apologised, flashing me a very coy smile . Being your typical suave, sophisticated and deboniar man-about-town... I was immediately reduced to a stammering heap of jelly . Take it from me - TV just does not do that girl justice.
  11. Good to see a steady increase in the proportion of 'gold' ClubLEW members in the 'active users' section
  12. Haven't been to the Norfolk Show for years. Shame it's not on over the weekend as we're 'Esprit-ing' up to Wroxham on Sunday to see my parents. Perhaps another time. James
  13. Don't suppose 907 will be fussed... looks like he's 'using' 908 now
  14. Don't forget that as a member only forum peeps need to join simply to browse LEF content. I'm pretty sure that this will inevitably mean that quite a few 'members' will have joined solely to gain access to the content - possibly on a one-off basis - with no real intention of ever playing an active part in the community. My experience with other forums is that most content is open to the casual browser, with membership only being required to post. Just so there's no misunderstanding, I'm simply attempting to identify one possible reason for the seemingly disproportionate increase in non-posting members - not trying to make a case for the abandonment of member only access.
  15. Another weirdy here Dave *Neither* of us have ever had any interest in having children, so we didn't. Both favouring careers/lifestyle over everything else. Selfish? Maybe, but we really enjoy it
  16. Borut Don't panic - it's not a scam! Assuming it's these people they've been around for quite some time and are fairly well regarded within the Subaru community.... but their delivery times have a tendency to 'slip' from time to time. James
  17. Ignore last posting... was confusing Gravitex with Gravigard
  18. Details logged, and money sent via Paypal.
  19. Troy, do you use/recommend the aerosol or the brush-on version?
  20. 4,000 miles - now that's what I call a journey Any more pics featuring the Esprit in suitably exotic/interesting locations? Intrigued as to how you managed to carry two MTBs in/on an Esprit (or an X1/9 for that matter)
  21. 10 & 11 1. James 2. 89 SE 3. +1 4. B&B (2 rooms) 5. Manningtree (Essex/Suffolk border) NB Wef 22/5/06 away for 1 week in deepest darkest Wales - no web access/mobile reception.
