  1. Ever consider a career in the Diplomatic Corps, Chris?
  2. Use Firefox, Iain - you won't even get the red x
  3. Owen, your avatar is one of the few that *is* showing Also have a look in the Forum Help section at the foot of the page... where I'm just gonna move this thread
  4. Those of Messrs Kato, Mark Britten, Jonathan and EDF seem to be working too. All early LEF members, but could just be coincidence? Later - nice theory; now disproved by OwenGT3 & Kimbers
  5. Sorry matey, should have said this before - the new SE looks/sounds pretty damn fine to me
  6. I suggested just that to Bibs this morning. Mind you, when I spoke to Pinky the other day he mentioned that he'd got "this close" to buying an SE himself...
  7. Manage to sink anything?

    Norfolk Meets

Couple of other ideas for you. One east and the other south of Norwich. The Fur & Feather at Woodbastwick (excellent food and next door to Woodfordes brewery) Or if you wanted to head south in the hope of attracting some of Suffolk boys how about The Old Ram (on the A140 at Tivetshall). Good food and a huge car park.
  9. That be a glow worm. We have a small colony of 3 or 4 Pipistrelle bats that inhabit in our loft. As dusk falls they emerge to begin their nightly insect patrol of the garden. Incredibly agile in flight and highly entertaining to watch.

    Norfolk Meets

And in the meantime why don't you Norfolk boys get together for a quick hoon down the A11 to join us for this?
  11. So, it's marginally in favour of the M6 toll then Seriously, that really is helpful. Thanks ever so, chaps We've decided to take the Esprit and make a long weekend of it. We're staying in what appears to be a cracking hotel just outside Oswestry - Pen-y-Dyffryn. Eating there on Friday evening, wedding on Saturday, long walk on Sunday and back home in the evening. Has the makings of a superb weekend! Don't want to risk spoiling it by needlessly sitting in a jam on the M6 if we can avoid it.
  12. Family wedding in Oswestry this coming Saturday. We're driving up on Friday via M6/M54/A5. Anticipate reaching the Birmingham stretch of the M6 approx. 2 - 3 o'c. Question - is the 'old' M6 round Birmingham fairly free of delays/roadworks at the moment or would we better using the M6 toll?
  13. Those magic words - Gerald Turner, Lotus, pub, food and beer I'm up for this one chaps... but first I have to persuade my mother to celebrate her birthday a week earlier/later than normal this year
  14. As Matt says it should be possible to fill both tanks from one side as they are interconnected (or were when they left the factory). However, the connecting pipe is not huge so it can take a while for the two tanks to balance. When the pump cuts out, try pausing for 10 - 15 seconds to allow the tanks time to equalise before continuing. It also seems to speed up the refuelling process if both filler caps are removed, regardless of which side you intend filling.
  15. "Statutory Off Road Notification"
  16. Intriguing... the two 'don't mess with me' blokes appear to be wearing earpieces... so I'm guessing some sort of function involving VIPs and/or high profile celebrities?
  17. Of course, if you're a true audiophile there is no way digital reproduction can ever match vinyl. Or at least that's what one of my co-directors would have you believe. He's got some
  18. Looks like a straight lift from a recent edition of Autocar (including the "this is what we think it might look like" photoshop effort). Edit - it is so threads merged
  19. Graham, I'd just typed the following and was waiting for you to report back after the reboot... "I had a very similar experience after installing some new speakers, Graham. Spent ages delving into various soundcard/settings menus to no avail. Was on the point of returning the speakers as DOA when I realised that I'd managed to plug them into the mic socket Highly unlikely that you've done the same but... "

    Jussi

Good to have you back Jussi That's one awful year you've had so far. But I'm sure you've now got through the worst of it and with the help of your family and friends (inc. all those on LEF) things will begin to improve . Would be fantastic if you could make it over for the Factory Day in September. In fact, we were only saying last week that it just wouldn't be the same without you (click me) Give your camera a quick polish because we're relying on you to take some more great pics - we can't have Bibs beating you at your own game (he's got himself a nice new camera and he's taken one or two half decent shots ). Oh, and we've asked the Hotel to order in extra supplies of cider so don't let us down James
  21. And when we say 'social' what we actually mean is Must admit the Milau Bridge Trip does sound awfully tempting though. But announcing to mission control that we're curtailing our holiday by three days so I can go hooning round France wouldn't, I suspect, be one of my more popular moves
