I to blanked off.the airbox connector and.fitted a small filter on the end of.the breather pipe, havin routed it down under the air intake trunj to.turbo...the amount of.oil that is lost to atmosphere through this is.negligible...i topped my oil up once last year, and that was only a very minor amount...seriously minor. Its a small amount.of oil vapour that will come out of.here and ive never had any issues with staining on the garage floor, road or on the chassis...
  2. Well its a shame, its a system that does take getting your head round..but its worth it in the end. Like many things...do it.right and it makes such a.difference. Are you bringing the esprit over to london on your trip too!
  3. Have you read my post in this section on getting the delco brakes working correctly? Give it a read and follow the methods...tried and proven. If you cant get it working the way ive written then ill get the grey matter thinking....where abouts are you btw?

  5. You havent got a silver seat with 'my other car is a lotus' on the back bumper by any chance?
  6. I contacted lotus and a few other places last year and none were available. A good radiator company should be able to repair the silver soldering on the tube ends, but I doubt the fins could be easily remade. It al depends on where the leak is...

Yes its the same unit from your model onwards for all the four pots...youll be undoing the chargecooler coolant hoses aswell as that rad.comes out as part of tye aircon unit..so youll.need to.refill and bleed the.chargecooler system.if your going to do it, I strongly advise getting your engine.coolant radiator recored...or at the very least pressure.checked and cleaned. Ths will also be removed during the process..but you dont need to undo the coolant hoses to it unless your refurbishing it. Its possible to just drop.the whole assembly down and leave it plumbed in..but as I say, if youve gone to the effort get it done and that will necessitate an engine coolant replenishment.

  9. Assuming its a chargecooled 2.2 ....units are bot available.new. The rad is combined in a shared frame with the chargecooler rad...they appear as one unit, but are two separate rads sharing side frames. Its not a bad job to remove...just expect a lots of rusted bolts to he cut through to get it all out. Other than that its a hard search finding a new unit. However, they can be repaired by some companies....dependant upon where the leak is...
  10. My injectors are from wrc in the usa...Travis recomends then...as for.the 'warm up regulator' are you refering to the throttle jack? If so...and your allowed to.legally..remove completely...

  12. Alternatively ade get the car down to Northampton and have an hour on the rolling road. Itll save all the.guess work and would pinpoint any running issues...im sure.Dave would/has mentioned this. Dave will be taking his customers esprit down at somepoint to get tuned, and I certainly wouldnt mind another run up on it now.ive sorted through the rest of the little niggles to see.if ive.managed to make the other side of 300bhp this time..group outing?!
  13. I didnt think original springs were available, just the development ones..or at least thats what I was told from sj. Ive got.new.originak shocks but would.like the springs to match..

  15. The vacum solenoid for it was still there along with the one for the EBV valve, but I thought they didnt have the EBV valve as standard....mind you talking last time I saw Ade we think his might be a bit 'special' in some areas!

Im inclined to agree it doesnt look out of place either...I think colour choice of the car would determin its success..dark with the gold detailing works well..but I suspect other colours typical of a g turbo ie white with red detailing, would look odd. The reason I say this is that the wheels on the image above tie in the decals, and on other coloured cars gold wheels would look odd and the decals wouldnt match....
  17. Basically as above, the newer gas contains smaller particles, and as such our.older spec rubber pipes will leak through inevitably.the seals or.o.rings in the system will also leak through. Ive converted mine, new valves for fillingg and emptying the system along with a new reciever/dryer canister. My compressor is standard as is my rad, new. My system shows no leaks under testing, however it.does bleed out gas.slowly over say six months..resulting in a working but weak aircon by the end of.thr summer. Not much of a problem as it doesnt really get used in the winter. However, at worse I could.get it gassed up twice a year.when freshly gassed, the aircon does work cold, although not as efficient as a modern system.

  21. Been a while since ive done karting, not a legend, but if you need a reserve incase said legend doesnt appear and a normal fearless volunteer has to do it then ill lay my life down but im sure there are experienced karters amongst us...
  22. Has the 20 car allocation been cut then? Or has the flexibility on the number been made rigid :-/ also, are there any issues with leaving cars on site overnight do you know? As were setting off at 4 am ish were dropping our luggage off first before getting on site, with the plan of not having to move till sunday night!
  23. Im.sure with the rain expected on friday/saturday a carwash on entry might be an idea if there are any enterprising Pole's around...
  24. Sorry for the delay in replying! I bought mine from sj originally...at silly price thinking it was original or better...but in comparison...as I like to collect service item spares...the ebay unit last year was the same. Straight swap, just resused the hose end adapters...honestly save yourself a lot of money and have the non branded item...so long as it looks the same, ie sight window, threaded hole for the switch and two ends for the hoses to connect...
