  1. Got a call recorder app on my phone..
  2. I think either myself or the garage can communicate with the insurer.. I hadn't thought about taking it further afield.. Not a bad idea 👍 Whatever happens it will be leaving my house on the back of an aa lorry
  3. When I bought the car from leven group it came with 12 month warranty (aftermarket not lotus) Spoke to westover (now Hendy) this afternoon... They were quite cagey/non committal when I questioned them about the warranty aspect.. Essentially Hendy are closing their doors today, so they have my details & will get in touch once they re-open for business (whenever that may be!) and I can then get the car over to them.. Let's just hope I don't have too much of a battle over this... Its not clever on a car that's only covered 8500 miles!!
  4. Well, got the undertray off.... So far it's looking like possibly rear crank seal. Top half of engine, sump, oil pipes, vvti all look bone dry! Just to give an idea of how much its leaking
  5. Thank you for the info... I will phone main dealer next week.. When I bought the car (last May) it came with 12 months warranty, so hopefully I'll be covered either which way 🤞
  6. Hi everyone Just been out in the car and somethings started leaking oil 😢 No puddles under the car but you can certainly smell it and there's occasional smoke coming up.. I'm out & about so can only investigate with torch on mobile phone.. Therefore can't see much!! Is this a known problem??? I've read the thread about the earlier evora & s model cooler & vvti pipe leaks, but assumed these issues were sorted before the 400 series cars??
  7. I have these for sale.... Offers.. They're genuine lotus
  8. I used a no:4 screw, so it's tiny hole.. Had the car sideways 6 or 7 times driving home last Sunday, still got dry carpets
  9. Need to get closer pic, but screwed mine to the tunnel
  10. Hi Edward... Hope you're keeping well 👋🙂
  11. Yes approx 112,000 miles before rebuild..... Reason for rebuild - worn main Bearings
  12. What a shame, let's hope things improve 🤞

    Gutted

Was that the one from snow's?
  14. Brown tyres by the looks of it 😁😁
  15. My wheels are grey..... So a good compromise 😅
  16. I like the diamond cut edge too, I'm not a fan of seeing black wheels against tyres (makes the tyre look brown) so the diamond edge takes your eye away from this. but it's hard to notice stone chips in the clear laquer.... And then the unsightly corrosion which follows.
  17. When I bought my evora 2 months ago, it was shipped from leven lotus in Edinburgh to weymouth (South Coast) Leven used a company called aic transport, the cost was £450.00. This was on an open transporter.. Everything was trouble free & the transporter driver was a pleasure to deal with

    Mileage

When I bought my esprit, she'd done well over 100k, accompanied with the fastidious (by previous owner) servicing the car received. I reasoned she must be a pretty good example to achieve high mileage in the first place!! When I came to sell though... I was definitely in the minority with that view!

    Mileage

Will be interesting to see how many buyers there will be for the higher mileage cars.... My esprit had 132,000 & it took a year to sell
  20. I too liked at the white 400, really nice example, if it had leather I would've bought it
  21. My evora doesn't have a temp gauge, so it's quite nice not knowing what's going on 🤪 I never had issues with the esprit but like you I watched the gauge like a hawk
