  1. A couple more of mine with it's garage buddy, my Yamaha FZ1 Fazer.
  2. Mine came with PZero Rosso's on when I bought it. They seem absolutely fine on the road, but I'm off to the Nurburgring at the end of June so I'm wondering whether to swap them for the correct MO tyre. The rears need replacing anyway, but the fronts still have 6 or 7mm of tread on them, so I'm loath to throw perfectly good tyres away! Would it make a worthwhile difference swapping or should I save my money and just get a new set of rear Rosso's?
  3. I bought mine second hand, so didn't choose the spec (although I'm pretty pleased with it). It's an NA 2+2 in Quartz Silver with black leather and all the packs and I've added the forged alloys. The car I actually went to look at was Carbon grey with paprika leather which I though was a lovely combo, but the condition wasn't as good as the Quartz one. I do particularly like both the white and red SR look. If buying new (money no object!), I think a white Sports Racer S IPS would be my choice.
  4. I had the "Engine upgrade kit" from Lotus fitted to my 2010 NA fairly recently. It consists of the blue tipped sports exhaust (Janspeed), the decat pipe (also Janspeed I assume) plus a TRD sports filter. It certainly transforms the noise! It sounds instantly more purposeful on start up, with a nice burble noise. It's louder when just cruising, which I thought would bug me at first, but I'm used to it now. It howls at high rpm - a proper sports car noise! Overall I'm very pleased with it. I don't know whether it adds any horse power, or just sounds quicker - but in Sports mode the engine is very responsive, sounds great and feels genuinely rapid when pressing on.
  5. 4k! I'd say that's fairly hard core I did 800 miles in year one and 1000 miles in year two, which is part of the reason I decided to sell. I have to say though - every single mile was a special event The cars previously owned by Bruss & Jo must have a fair few miles on them, as they did some European track day treks in them.
  6. I thought about the ES one when looking for one, as it's obviously by far the cheapest option. But I'm a believer in "you get what you pay for", and it just seems too cheap! It's probably worth giving them a call though, from what I've heard they're good guys. As it happens, I've now sold my 2-11, before having the chance to try it with the tonneau fitted I sold it to Lotus Hedge End, so I expect it will appear in their showroom sometime soon (with or without tonneau fitted).
  7. Oh, that's a lovely colour - Laser blue? That interior will be a bugger to keep clean though!
  8. Mine's an original Lotus one (bought privately). I think it retails at about £1800! The ES one at about £300 looks like a "race car special" to me!!
  9. Congratulations, you won't regret it
  10. Exactly the two questions I always get from kids! It used to be "How fast does it go mister?" now it's "How much did it cost mister?" One kid asked me if I'd won the lottery. I told him I don't do the lottery, I just work hard. He looked confused.
  11. I'm only doing it because I think the 2-11 looks EVEN better with the tonneau fitted.
  12. Two kids walking home from school and my Evora was parked on the drive. First one says "WOW! look at that Lotus" The second one says "Huh, that's nothing, I've seen a Mclaren" That put me in my place
  13. It'll look like this (only in yellow)
  14. Handbook says "premium" unleaded minimum 95RON, so normal unleaded is fine. I always run mine on Super unleaded when available as I just think the extra cleaning agents etc are worthwhile for the extra couple of quid per refill.
  15. I'm about to get the official Lotus tonneau fitted to my 2-11. Does anyone have any fitting tips? I'm particularly wondering about the seal between the tonneau and the bodywork on the passenger side - is any kind of seal required? I'm worried about it rubbing the paint away from the body work edge. Bear in mind this is a lovingly looked after road car, not a sheddy race car
  16. My Evora is an NA. But even a 'mere' NA is a FANTASTIC road car, and I don't think I really need the extra performance that an Evora S would offer for the road. I'm always in two minds about selling my 2-eleven as I don't have the time to use it much, but when I do I adore it all over again. It's been tucked up for the winter, but with Spring coming the time is right to dig it out again. IF the 2-eleven goes, i think only a V6 Exige (Roadster or Coupe) could replace it, but, it would have to be a daily driver!!
  17. Good - it's hideous! Personally, I love the current styling and so do the vast majority of the general public if my experience is anything to go by - I get nothing but positive comments. If the Evora has been a relative failure, I don't think it's down to the styling.
  18. Whats wrong with silver? The Evora looks great in silver When I bought mine from Silverstone last August, they had three or four NA's to choose from - glad I bought when I did. Neal.
  19. Or even a Coupe come to that! It's probably hyperthetical, but how would a V6 Roadster cope with being a daily driver? I currently cope fine with an Evora as a daily, but would ideally like to just run one car, so swap both the Evora and the 2-11 for an Exige V6 Coupe or Roadster. As it happens, my two cars combined would probably just about cover the cost of a new one! I know the Evora is much better suited, but I can't get rid of the desire to own an Exige V6 of some description and I won't tolerate running a lesser vehicle as a daily car Neal.
  20. Evora makes a FANTASTIC daily driver - congratulations on an inspired choice
  21. Those Mansory cars are hideous!
  22. I don't think a Rad SR3 would make a very good road car, but on a track I think even a 2-11 would struggle to stay in touch.
  23. A 2-11 is an Exige 260 Cup without all the weight, but with wind and bugs On the road it feels sensationally fast, and that is partly due to it's completely open nature. Drive it with just a hat and eye protection and it's as much fun as it's possible to have in a car (whilst driving it!). I drove an Exige S 240, which felt heavy and cumbersome compared to the 2-11. You'd never describe an Exige S as slow, but it felt sluggish in comparison. I also own a 1000cc motorcycle, but if I want a quick adrenaline fix, i choose the 2-11 every time. It's that good.
  24. Evora & 2-11 is the perfect combo
