  1. No problems, keep me in mind if anyone can't make it. Thanks.
  2. Any chance of putting my Evora on the stand one or more days? It too will be for sale.
  3. Religion doesn't cause wars, individuals use of religion for their own means does. I was brought up a Christian, I never attended Church until we happened to go one Christmas for the Nativity (I'd be about 33). We enjoyed it and became regular Church goers and very active in Church life. I was even elected a member of the local Parochial Church Council. As the kids got older and the old Vicar (who was a top bloke) retired we stopped going and haven't been for around three years. I really enjoyed the Church and friends we made there but I have to consider myself a non believer. I've seen a great deal of suffering, I've seen good people suffer horrible lives and this along with me being essentially a scientist means I cannot believe in some being out there who controls everything (unless it's Bernie Eccelstone).
  4. I had a doctor in Sweden insisting it was a Lamborghini when looking at the desktop on my iPad. Could t convince them otherwise.
  5. Please could you explain more what this does and how/ when to use?
  6. I'll be there, camping in the playground. Happy to bring car round to go on TLF display.
  7. They had a pile of them in the lounge at LHR yesterday and one fell in my bag
  8. Nice, I do like pics of cars and girls although I know some don't like them.
  9. Have they said where it's going to be?
  10. I've never done a clutch on an Esprit but every other car I've done them on I've aligned them without the alignment tool I bought years ago for the job.
  11. I saw Colin's answer regarding toilets on the Millionaire video too.
  12. I love that, any chance of the link to the site you got your ideas from?
  13. Lotus really can't win. If they announce a new car no one buys the existing model, if they announce a face lift everyone knows a facelift comes before a new model so....... If you like what's on offer buy it, you may not be around when the new model is finally released.
  14. The changes have been subtle but if you sit in a 2009 car and a 2014 car the difference is night and day.
  15. I was at Club Corner, fantastic atmosphere.
  16. Once people know an update is coming they either will wait to part with their cash or expect a big discount. Lotus shouldn't show anything until it's ready to go into production - and all the stupid niggles need fixing too, they cannot afford another Evora launch disaster. When you read back over the initial reviews all say it looked great, drove fantastically but was very poorly put together. Any potential newcomer to Lotus switched off after reading that. It was a missed opportunity, Top Gear still compare it with Ferraris five years on!
  17. Pulled in at Silverstone on Friday behind a newish 911. The guy got out and was all over the Evora. Said it was the first he'd seen. He looked confused after he asked how long I'd had it and I said almost three years. He thought they'd only been out around a year. I asked if he was confusing it with the Exige V6 but he said no. He was all over it. Saturday morning same place, another 911 at the side of me this time and virtually the same conversation. Lotus marketing clearly isn't working - with Porsche owners anyway.
  18. Nicely put. Are they at Paris? I thought the plan was Geneva next year.
  19. Great news, I'm surprised the sales have dropped in the UK (according to registrations).
  20. I'm in exactly the same boat, looked at the Exige V6 but it's not really what I want. I have decided to keep mine until they announce whatever they will announce at Geneva next year.
  21. Ian Jamison in York can repair just about anything. He gets wheels sent from all over the UK. He powder coats but if he doesn't have a colour match he can get the wheel painted or you can get it painted yourself. I badly damaged a wheel on the Evora and three places said it couldn't be repaired, Ian has done work before for me and repaired it no problem. He had a pile of aircraft wheels in for repair last time I was there. He'll also 'unbuckle' wheels if need be.
