Brake discs for S1?
CaptainSlow replied to CaptainSlow's topic in Ride/Handling/Suspension/Brakes/Wheels/Tyres
I’ve now ordered DBA 4000 series discs instead. Grooved discs front and back. https://dba.com.au Rear 42361S, front 42364S Air freight to Sweden. Missed four track days so far due to the others being on back-order. Getting a bit desperate by now. -
Swedish Prince to Drive an Evora GT4 in Upcoming Swedish GT Race Series
CaptainSlow replied to Vanya's topic in Motorsport
The Evora came 5th and 2nd in today’s two races at Anderstorp Raceway. Soaking wet conditions in both races. The second got red flagged due to a serious crash (one driver taken to hispital). Lookedmore like speed boats on the long strait. Today prince Carl Philip was accompanied by Thed Björk in the Evora. Great to see a lot more car in both classes. Although only one Lotus this weekend. -
My discs needs to be replaced since they've now reached the minimum thickness. I've settled for the discs that are sold by Elise-shop. http://www.elise-shop.com/evora-cross-drilled-front-brake-discs-pair-up-to-evora-400-p-502938.html and http://www.elise-shop.com/cross-drilled-rear-brake-discs-pair-evora-exige-v6-p-502939.html. Just curious about what others has settled for? I ordered mine in April and the latest update I got they should be shipped during second half of May. Apparently the rear discs are on back order. I've been searching for groved but not cross drilled discs. But so far I haven't found any for the Evora. I've seen some kits with upgraded front discs. Anyone with experience of such?

A couple of photos from the qualifying laps earlier this evening. The first two races takes place tomorrow. Two Lotus on the starting line, the Evora GT4 with Göransson/Bernadotte and an Exige with Palma/Nilsson (who also runs two cars in Lotus Cup Europe). Motorsport black, looks just black when cloudy but in direct sunlight it's almost brown due to "gold" flakes.

On August 12th 2018 we (as in Lotus Car Club of Sweden) arrange a track day at Kinnekulle Ring just outside Götene in Sweden. This will be the fourth time in a row that we visit this Lotus friendly track. Please contact me via PM or e-mail stefan.axelsson(at)lccs.nu for more information. Or take a look at the Swedish web site in case you master the language. http://www.lccs.nu/kalender/inbjudan-lotus-day-kinnekulle-ring/

I’ve done 39,146 miles in my Evora since March 2014. I might replace it during 2018, but whatever comes next will be used as much.

Not sure how this was done one the factory wheels. But the satin finish seems to be a bit tricky. I had my wheels sprayed in gold with satin finish by a wheel refurbishing company. But the satin clear coat started to flake. Had them re-sprayed once, but when they started to flake again I gave up. Now they are powder coated in gold with gloss finish. No issues with flaking clear coat.

Evora 18" Wheels
CaptainSlow replied to C8RKH's topic in Ride/Handling/Suspension/Brakes/Wheels/Tyres
What’s the weight of these and from where did you source them? Alternatives to the Rimstock/Team Dynamics are always welcome. -
Final update on this from my side, we (as in myself and my wife) has decided not to pursue this any longer.

Not for the faint of heart! - Now "Exige Cup 430"
CaptainSlow replied to 4exige's topic in V6 Exige Chat
If I’d just bought a new 380 Cup I’d be pretty p****d off by this. Makes me wonder if those that have ordered an Evora GT 430 will get their cars until a new 440 is announced... -

Which month for fan Evora 10th Anniversary Tour?
CaptainSlow replied to CaptainSlow's topic in Evora Chat
There has been several advise to avoid July-August due to traffic. Our last visit was end of July - early August and it was pretty horrible when we approached Lake District. Driving around Scotland behind a bunch of caravans doesn't seem that fun. -
As discussed in this thread, we are considering an Evora Tour next Summer. So, which month as a start would be the preference of those interested? Read about the plans at https://www.thelotusforums.com/forums/topic/90005-evora-10th-anniversary-tour/?page=1 Also, please add your name(s) to the list below if you are interested (non-binding). 1. Stefan and Maria Axelsson, Evora S 2. 3. 4. 5.

Agree with the comment about the lack of aero bits. No barge boards/sills. But there will probably be a 260R within a couple of months with those fitted... This is gettong ridiculus. Please start to provide spare parts to those that are waiting instead!

Evora 18" Wheels
CaptainSlow replied to C8RKH's topic in Ride/Handling/Suspension/Brakes/Wheels/Tyres
Finally got around taking a photo with these wheels fitted. Before you comment, the car has been cleaned since - it was raining on Saturday... -
Just an update, this thread will soon get some more attention. We just finished Lotus Festival Sweden so I will have some more time planning ahead now. The good thing is that there are 4-5 Swedish Evora owners that shows great interest. So, there might be a small group from the start.

Evora 18" Wheels
CaptainSlow replied to C8RKH's topic in Ride/Handling/Suspension/Brakes/Wheels/Tyres
No, but I can get some tomorrow -
Yes, they are both cheaper to replace than the Evora... I intended to drive home afterward and I didn't fancy telling mrs Slow that I'd totaled the toy car.
