  1. Did you try looking at Classic team Lotus? They have polo shirts with logos from the historic teams/sponsors or their own polo shirt at £ 24. I bought this last year in Hockenheim's Jim Clark Festival, but can't find it online.
  2. In Spain, just like in France, most fuel stations in the main road network are franchised from large national or international companies. BP, Shell, Total, etc. are all over the place. Within Spanish companies, Repsol, Cepsa (and Petronor if you are in the North) are also good and generally have all products available. Discount/Supermarket fuel stations are less common in Spain than in France but are growing in number. In some of the smaller towns /fuel stations you may not find 98 RON, though. Hope this helps.
  3. No blackout tomorrow at 10:30 please.
  4. Thomas, Congratulations!! It looks brillant, specially in the pictures showing the front. It should be called Evora UFO!
  5. Nice find by my son today going through Furka pass towards San Gottardo. "Dad: i think there is a Lotus down there, at the beginning of the pass". 5 min. later we did come across a nice grey Europa S on Uk plates. Flashes, waving and horn were "de rigueur"
  6. Rob, I also had an issue with a false contact in the sensor for the break pedal which resulted in an electronic fault. The car was running well but sport mode would disengage as soon as I touched the brake... I got in touch with Lotus, who talked to my dealer. It was all solved with some grease on the contact point, apparently. A very easy and quick fix in my case. There is apparently a service note about this.
  7. Hmm. Not nice. Sorry for you. The bright side is that they seem to have found it and you will have the issue solved and the new loom so hopefully a problem free future ahead of you at a marginal cost. Fingers crossed it will not be all at your expense.
  8. ^ Nice. While waiting for your car you could maybe do some more for the rest of us. I will have it in BRG, please (probably not the same effect, though).
  9. I was always cautious to switch off sport mode before getting close to my house, not to bother my neighbour. Until that day when I forgot to do it and the next day he told me that they loved hearing me arriving and that him and the kids went to the door to hear it better. But I agree that the start up flare is a bit too much, sometimes.
  10. Michael, I had a similar issue with my car stalling a couple of times when braking hard. Hard braking with the clutch engaged and the engine would just stall when heavily reducing the speed with no time to engage the previous gear. (Not sure if that is exactly your case). I talked to Lotus and this was their reply: If you car is stalling under braking, as you report, this may actually be related to the brake lamp switch. This should be checked for correct adjustment and operation. Almost at the same time, I also had an issue with a false contact in the sensor for the break pedal which resulted in an electronic fault. The car was running well but sport mode would disengage as soon as I touched the brake... It was all solved with some grease on the contact point, apparently. A very easy and quick fix in my case. There is apparently a service note about this. Hope this helps, Jorge
  11. There are plenty of very nice pictures in YvoTuk's gallery! Maybe you could add some here for everyone's enjoyment?
  12. It is a reinterpretation of the Elise but also reminds me of the Alpine A110. It is really very nice. Go for it!
  13. Ok, letters sorted. Back to the configurator (and new underpants) it is, then.
  14. Tom, The thread is a very good idea. If you have some spare time on the way back, I would suggest to spend some time around "Picos de Europa" for some nice roads, villages and food. As you probably know, you can take the ferry back from Santander or Bilbao, too, and visit some nice places in the Basque country. I have family in that area and visit often, so if you want some suggestions, I will be glad to provide some based on your priorities (kids, museums, appetite, interests, etc.)
  15. Hi Nick, It does sound like a great plan! Would you mind sharing your planned route / impressions on the trip (and pictures ) once completed? I am from the North of Spain (though living abroad now) and would like to discover nice mountain roads in the Pyrenees area for my future summer holidays back home. Enjoy!
  16. Well, Andy, your post should be censored, too. That looks amazing!
  17. I just came across this (not that I was looking for it or planning to change mine... :-) ) and I thought I would share for those of you without nails and willing to spend some spare time configurating your Evora 400 http://lotus-am-ring.de/konfigurator.php Hopefully the official one in Lotus' website will show the same results shortly. :-) Jorge
  18. Really sorry, too. I can only show all my empathy. I also struggled for some time when I lost my German Shepperd. You did all you could!
  19. "If you are not winning you are not trying..." The reverse is also true. If you are not trying you are not winning. They need to be in the ballroom, IMHO. Fingers crossed for a nice outcome and result.
  20. Many thanks, Kieron, Looks like you made my day. I just found their luxembourg site and are available too.
  21. Once I blocked the lock and my Evora's boot release was also extremely tough to start moving. It worked after some attempts...Where are you in France?
  22. Ha, ha, So It is true! A brand new wiper, you just need the windscreen now. But don't blame me-
  23. Thanks everyone Paul, sounds like a good plan. I will try to reach them, many thanks.
  24. Hi, Resurrecting this old thread as I need to replace my front tyres for the first time and I am not sure which is the right code for the Pirelli P Zeros Corsa Direzionale for my Evora S... None of the codes available includes the "LS" reference to Lotus... Is any of them suitable and I just need to choose the most recent DOT or should I only take Lamborghini / McLaren or Ferrari as suggested above? http://www.centralepneus.lu/pneu-auto-235-35-19-91-Y/?m=5&s=S&ty=T (sorry for the link... you may need to re-type Pirelli to see the actual offer) Many thanks in advance. Jorge
