    Evora

Here you go. Common problem as soon as stones chip the paint http://www.thelotusforums.com/forums/topic/69090-evora-grills-matt-black/
  2. @Kalli, if you insist (although one day you really need to share the story with the good folks on here). "When I grow old I want to own a maroon Evora" That'd put me in a more youthful than average bracket too.

  4. Hmm, don't know about new, but my car was ex management and was a mile out. Paid a main dealer to sort it out on their "latest equipment" only to then get in a disagreement about the quality of the job (steering wheel wasn't even straight). It took BOT to sort it for me as well, and they charged half of what the dealer did. That said, I'd probably not get it checked from new - you'll soon figure it out if it's out. Firstly it'll start to tramline under braking.
  5. Try describing what they are to an insurance company!! Now that was a bigger challenge than fitting them.
  6. I'd go elsewhere. TBH if someone made off with the one of my cars I wouldn't want it back. Only really worth it when a car cannot be replaced due to rarity or sentimental value IMHO. This is not to say I won't do everything in my power to stop the scrotes getting it in the first place.
  7. Is the tax based on the purchase price or an estimate? I've heard horror stories of huge bills being presented.
  8. Someone Just tried a GB on SELOC, but all went quiet once the issue of import tax raised its ugly head.
  9. They will do that, they will. Just got mine back with de-stone-chipped front bumper, so treated it to a lovely trip to Birmingham today.
  10. @ Tom, I can help you with the Go pro and suction mount, give me a shout. The tips look like 89 mm jobbies - same as mine and there is still clearance left. Don't think carbon will even be as obvious as blue tips, now who would do that? I like them and don't think they will look chav. Mine has Jims decat as well, there will be no issues.
  11. 3rd is ideal for country roads on the long box. The only time it is ever an issue is when you have someone doing exactly 40 mph and you want to overtake, as you either get a delay before the power delivery comes in, or you change into second before overtaking and have to change gear whilst overtaking. If they are doing 45 then your fine! On the other hand 3rd gear is excellent for joining motorways.......
  12. TADTS. There are some after market carbon fibre ones available, but pretty expensive. Alternatively it could be stuck together and skinned.
  13. Yes, but with Evora a bit without the "S" and preferably with a bigger EVORA. Is that standard on your SR? Ta
  14. I expect to be there, but I somehow doubt a Mercedes Estate will go unnoticed in Lotus parking!
  15. Apologies, but please remove me (no 73). I have been meaning to get the front bumper resprayed and venture shielded, and guess when the body shop has a space!
  16. Now I know why my washer bottle/valve is so much more of a pain than others have reported. Yours has a different design. My pumps are behind the bottle so the whole lot has to come out to fix.
  17. Ah, you lucky man. I saw pictures when it arrived and before they advertised it and went down to look at it. I had a price in mind that I'd pay (and Mrs P would accept), but needless to say it was more than that price. Perfect combination, congrats.
  18. Please don't. My wife would kill me. We need to ban pictures of that car.
  19. I thought as much but the OP location may be an issue. If OP has the sub frames he may be able to source a set Spotrster CS seats in the US.
  20. A little while ago I saw a picture of a car that had the Evora graphic (text like the badge on the rear bumper, rather than the car image on the nav unit) on the top of the door cill. I thought it looked rather good and would like to get some, but despite much time spent on Google I can't find the image again, or a picture of sufficient detail to supply to a mfr. Is the owner still on here? Where did you get them from, or anyone else have any ideas. Ta
  21. Assume so as they will sit on the jacking points I have left mine for a week before supported only on the jacking points while the wheels were being refurbed.
  22. Yes. 2 bolts inside the boot on each, pull out light, disconnect electrical plug and the ring is merely stuck to the back of the light by double sided adhesive pad, just pull them apart.5 minute job to remove. Bit of wet and dry and a spray can is all you need.
  23. You'd be doing over 80 at those revs on the long box, so looks like you have the CR.
  24. I know a couple of people with (or had) 370Zs. Both moaned like hell about the tyre prices/wear rates and sub 20 fuel economy on a good day. Made the Evora look positively cheap to run.
  25. 6" with Decat. That's exactly what is on mine (the 6" box with the blue tips on Jims website is mine). Its absolutely fine when pottering around and on motorway, but breach 3k and it starts to screem, lovely - the only problem is it makes me hang on to the low gears much more than before it was swapped over. Make sure Jim knows it's for an N/A otherwise you may find the tips a bit long - I had to cut mine down by 2 inches. (The S has a longer diffuser)
