There’s something in the service notes about the oil pressure warning lamp. I have a feeling it only operates above a certain rpm, to stop owners getting windy about low pressure. Probably a relay in there. So, have a look at your service notes first.
Oh, and replace that hose clip that’s about to fail due rusting through. Easier to do it in the garage than at the side of the road at 2am in the pissing rain.

Fair enough, I guess it cuts down on the potential for costly lawsuits.
In other news, it seems that some women don't believe that men should be allowed into women only clubs, whereas many women believe that male only clubs are misogynistic. Go figure!

@Chillidoggy - use your new found freedom as a man to feel free to attend!
As it happens, booking.com just sent me this recommendation for an excursion -- 1

I am, for various reasons, currently sat in a hotel bar in Adelaide, Australia. Outside, most of the city roads are more congested than the M25 on a good day, and the city has expanded hugely. Vast shopping malls mirroring those in the US, and fast food joints, abound.
The last time I was here, if there were 6 cars in front of them, the Aussies were moaning like hell about “the traffic jam”. Well, they’ve really got something to moan about now.
Overpopulation is what’s going to kill us.

@Escape sounds like what I’m potentially after! What do you have and what are you looking to get for it?
@Chillidoggy what spec springs and dampers do you have? The DM didn’t come through?
No DM as yet, Chris. Its all S4s spec.

Hi Filip, I only have springs and dampers to offer assuming they’re suitable in the first place.

Do you need springs and dampers?

Carbon negative? Delivered by an EV?

From personal experience of working alongside him, when Sparky talks Esprits, I guarantee he knows exactly what he’s talking about, and the best course of action to avoid any expensive issues is to listen to what he’s saying.

Regarding projects, an old colleague of mine used to say you need time, money, and enthusiasm all to coincide, or you might as well just go down the pub.

This thread really has no conclusion. It’s like being asked to choose between Kate Beckinsale, Jennifer Lawrence and Scarlett Johansson.

You forgot the smashed avocado on sourdough.
How times change. Not that long ago everyone would assume sourdough was mouldy bread, and avocado was simply the colour of a bathroom suite.- 2

I’ll never buy an EV for precisely the same reasons.
Has anyone else noticed the plethora or EV ads on telly? Almost without exception, they portray a bunch of smiling, laughing, happy-go-lucky, carefree occupants (who look like they spend half their lives in a gym, and eat quinoa), driving around in the middle of nowhere.
This is presumably an attempt to persuade all us doubters that it’ll all be fine and dandy, and charging points are of course numerous in the wild blue yonder, so no worries, drive your EV anywhere. Utter nonsense.
I also noticed that in the vast majority of the adverts, they show the EV being either being plugged in, or having the charging plug removed. Why do that? Beats me.

If you've not noticed, this is exactly what has happened to GP practice in the UK.
Only this time it is the NHS that is getting ripped off and patients are just left to suck up and increasingly poor service and experience as the GPs partners fill their boots.
Isn’t it the case that GP surgeries are a independent, that they’re contracted to the NHS for a fee? -
I’m no Hamster fan, but the blame cannot be laid at his door.

I didn't really notice any difference in Alonso's driving. George Russell should try driving behind some of our local jockeys, then he'd have something to moan about.
4 hours ago, C8RKH said:Well done to Carlos. Superb drive and Ferrari must surely be questioning why they chose LeClerc over him.
Sainz has always been rock solid, and battles well under pressure whereas LeClerc, like Russell, always comes across as delicate and flakey.
I hope Sainz gets a great seat for 2025. One of the best drivers on the circuit.
I think Ferrari are getting rid of the wrong bloke.

The furnaces (and probably the plant)are going to close regardless because no business can continually run at a loss. The union should be negotiating the absolute best severance package it can for its members, but instead it has failed to see the writing on the wall, or if it has, it duly ignored it.
