  1. The actual improvement to the gear shift can only be achieved by a retro fit of the 350 Sport+ gear shift. I think you have a 350 already so you have the shifter, the gearbox cooler would be a complimentary items to help manage those track day conditions and longevity of your gearbox.

My gearbox cooler is located under the car (vent in under tray) I was worried about the design being prone to damage and unfortunately mine did fail and required a replacement. The replacement came with additional mesh and shielding which has proved a good enhancement to the design. That said if I was to do it again, especially with enlarged side scoops, I'd be going with a solution which housed the cooler in the actual side vent which I think would be slightly safer and create more airflow for cooling. Another alternative is to forget all coolers and go with a Laminova setup.

  2. Okay folks so based on MetWeather this weekend we may get lucky :) So assuming it remains relatively dry then im good and suggest we start formalising ideas for logistics.

C&M opens the doors at 9am, weekends are obviously their busiest days of the week, Im thinking ill probably try and get there for 9.30am and look to pre-book parking to be safe (https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/caffeine-machine-pre-booked-parking-2020-tickets-85474200635?aff=erelexpmlt)

If theres enough call for those in the South West happy to meet up again at the Air Balloon at around 8.20/8.30 to convoy over together.

For what it's worth .... this is the 350 airbox seems to be more domed than the 410497577057_2020-02-0214_14_18.thumb.jpg.7fb2a4142377f3a67b87e25e9b31d97b.jpg

And you can just see the canister attached to the harness bar.  quite different to the 410.

Might have to be a move to the @alias23 air filter mod ....   I wonder how that would affect my warranty ?

Just had a fresh batch of intakes arrive and ready for shipping 👍😉

    Hi Imran

i know you did a considerable amount of research into this but did you ever consider trialling a ram air type scoop and filter similar to this...? Just thinking in terms of heat soak and air path, which I’ve not looked into on these cars yet...so maybe they’re not starved in any way like other cars can be...

(happy for this to be deleted if it gets in the way of thread discussion)

The position of the filter is directly on top of the exit of the side intake scoop so it’s getting a lot of air already, it’s also far away from the engine bay, so heat soak isn’t really noticeable.

Dont get me wrong I’m sure there’s some but on track (15 min sessions) I’ve never noticed any decrease in performance or times through out the day.

The other challenge is as you add more ‘design and functional’ bits you complicate and in turn increase costs. So it’s a balance :)
