    I think that is kind of the point. An SUV is not a sports car and to generate volume and revenue to support the sports car business they have to sell to another segment.

    except that on a 4 year old car the double din can be updated and be newer than all that embedded stuff.

    Still not sure of that. what stoppe them making the screen flush with the dash. Also what is so very wrong with an aftermarket double din that can be updated. This tech installed in cars will be obsolete in 2 to 3 years.

    I've recently been watching The Disaster Artist several times. Brilliant. It's currently showing on Sky. It's a film about the making of the worst movie ever made called The Room.     Does anyone seriously think an SUV would sell in today's market without some form of large central screen? We need this thing to sell so lotus can continue to make the fun light sports cars we enjoy.

    I've done it a couple of times. I know you hear the occasional horror story but I do think it is an exception especially at reasonably upmarket hotels. They will treat the car with respect. Would not do it for airport parking.
