  1. I’ve just ordered a new filter after seeing Imrans photo too. I’m going to have a look at inlet manifold too when I fit it. Strangely the filter I received is yellow rather than green but still says “3 layers Dry”.
  2. yeah. Great work. Following with interest as I have the SSC currently
  3. I use GoPoint BT1 and works fine with Harry’s. I find the biggest problem Is if your phone isn’t mounted in the windscreen and it say in the trinket tray you get a delay on speeds and positions as GPS signal isn’t as good. One thing I haven’t had chance to play with yet is apparently if you have Apple Watch you can add your heart rate to videos
  4. Cheers. £626 for full set of Cup2 then on camskill. Will get those ordered tomorrow 👍 £12 less for the 225s
  5. The comments on here have convinced me to go with Cup 2s. Just one quick question is it 215/45/17 on front? Thanks
  6. Cheers for the advice. What sizes do you run please? hace you tried the AR-1s? thanks
  7. Are you referring at Nankang AR-1s George? I was going to try them when my Trofeos are worn out. Thanks
  8. I have a V6S and all the bolts for removing splitter are underneath.
  9. Just to close this thread. I got the stone out by tieing a piece of string around it and pulling gently whilst very gently releasing pressure with flat head screw driver wrapped in a microfiber. It actually came out really easy 🙂
  10. I’ve actually been there myself. I was on a Euro trip and we stopped at ring on way home and I hadn’t realised I had completely worn my tyres out (down to metal) anyway to cut long story short Daniel had one of his lads open the garage up on Sunday morning (normally closed) and fit me two new tyres. Completely saved my bacon.
  11. Ha ha ha. If that was your local garage I would be whincing and have to stop watching. It does make me think If I was to go for manifolds I’d be tempted to travel to somewhere who does it regularly. I presume the Nurburgring was still shut for winter while you were there.
  12. I think the big caveat to that is they do it day in day out and will know all the tricks etc. Your nearest dealer you would trust on your car may do them very rarely.
  13. That’s less than I assumed it would be. I thought it would be more like 10 for some reason and therefore probably wouldn’t be cheaply reversible if I sold car. That makes me want them even more 😀
  14. My personal experience with 2bular. 1. Me “I want an exhaust for my V6” 2. Jim “will you track it” 3. Me “occasionally” 4. Jim “in that case you want the track system as I don’t like valved systems in track use” (I argue I want the valved one but he insists it’s not right for track) 5 exhaust arrives and I fit myself and love it. 6. Me “Jim, it’s probably going to be a bit loud for my local track” 7. Jim “no problem, take these development add on silencers free of charge just let me know the dB readings” 8. Add on silencers arrive (107db with / 98 dB without fyi) 9. Me “Jim, I don’t have the bracket to attach the spring to to hold the add on silencers to the exhaust” 10. Jim “no probs let me get the brackets I use posted out to you and you can get them welded on yourself locally” What more could he have possibly done. I have no affiliation with 2bular but based on my experience I can’t help but speak up on this topic
  15. Is that the definition of cutting your nose off to spite your face?
  16. This thread is getting more ridiculous by the day. Perhaps one thing would make it a lot clearer. Gekko. Was your fire immediately preceded by a high speed spin into the gravel? Secondly you said previously you removed the heat shield around the diffuser??
  17. 😂 at least they could save money on Welding masks
  18. Aye. Get back to more interesting threads like stones stuck between panels 🙄
  19. Hi ive only had them on for 4 days upto now so haven’t had chance to play very much yet. For reference I’m 9 from full hard at front and 8 at back and 550/850 spring rate. If I have to live with it I will it was more of a sanity check that it’s normal than anything else. It seems a few people get similar noise. I think it’s just down to the solid mounts. Will give it couple of weeks and see if it gets any better. 👍
  20. I used ABP motorsport in Crewe when I had my type R years ago they were good. (Mr JWW on YouTube uses them too) Currently use Track Torque (near York) for the Lotus as it’s closer to home
  21. I personally think this is where message forums aren’t the right place for such discussions. Person A is hacked off and thinks person B is to blame. Person B wants to defend their position / business. I’ve known Jim a good few years and I’d still take his product over any other despite this thread. I have seen and felt the exhausts with my own eyes and hands and the build quality is second to none. I think the majority of people have had the same experience. The fact that he gave you a track system for nothing after no doubt telling you in first instance not to use a valved system on track (why didn’t you go silenced decat if you wanted to quieten it down) says a lot to me. I don’t like getting involved in other people’s disputes but owning a lotus and being on these forums is a community and I personally don’t agree with what your saying.
  22. Ah right so the stones are actually coming from the inside to the out so I want to push it back in rather than pulling it out?
