  1. Ah that was me! Sorry I wasn’t able to chat long @exeterjeep - I needed to track down my mates nearby in their tvr (which they crashed later that day!)
  2. Sorry if I broke the rules by posting my own sale advert @Bravo73. I’ll post on lotusforsale as well
  3. Cheers for all the advice guys - looks like it’s easily fixable without much expense. Interesting comments from the refurb guy though...
  4. Just to chime in from the perspective of a low deposit, high monthly “buyer”... this is the approach I took as I’m not a good saver and I’ve invested what savings I had into doing up my house. I could try and save for a few years to buy the car I want but I’m greedy and impatient! I know this is not the most financially responsible approach and it does bug me when I look at what I owe verses the value of the car!... However as others have pointed out this is how the vast majority of people finance their vehicles these days and Lotus need to embrace that. When I’ve been to lotus dealers I feel a bit embarrassed that I’m not in a position to put tens of thousands down against the car I want. Other brands actively encourage and embrace that sort of buyer and make it very easy to buy a new car (easier/cheaper than buying a nearly new one!)
  5. That’s exactly who I was talking to! I was a bit wary of sending the whole supercharger so far away but if it’s just that nose part then it doesn’t seem so risky
  6. Cheers guys @Bravo73 I did actually find a company up north who thought they might be able to refurb the whole item back when it appeared the entire charger was broken. I suppose given the plan is to replace the nose assembly then it can’t hurt to whip it off and get that looked at by the refurb guy.
  7. Hi guys, Hoping for a bit of advice.. Recently I had a a bit of an awful noise from what seemed to be the supercharger assembly. After initial concerns that the whole thing needing replacing the local lotus garage (hendy poole) have now narrowed the problem down to the nose assembly which is pricey but about 10% of the cost of the supercharger itself so I’m pretty relieved! My issue now is that the part has been on order with lotus for a few weeks now and there’s still no update on timescales. Hendy think it could be several months of waiting. I’m pretty gutted to have to wait so long as I had a few track days booked and was keen to start enjoying the car when the good weather returns! So... do I just have to suck it up and wait all summer for a new part or is there anything clever I’m missing? Is it a part manufactured by others that I could source directly maybe... Thanks in advance for any help!
  8. That Sports Racer does seem pricey!.. I bought my old 2014 Daytona Blue S SR when it was a year old with 9k miles and that was only £47k. Incredible that it could be worth a similar amount 6 years later!
  9. @C8RKH It was indeed! I don’t know much about those things but it had a very meaty sounding V8 and was going round a a decent pace! Amazing commitment to have that sort of thing as a track car Tr7 owner is andy_aws on Instagram if you want to check out his pics
  10. Lots of fun at Castle Combe last week 😎

  12. Would you consider an Evora 400? Early ones are dropping into your budget whereas the exige 350 seems to be creeping up in price a bit
  13. @Doug Ashley - I’ve got a session in that drift limits Evora at some point (spotted it as a cheap wowcher deal last year for 60 quid I think). Was it a good session? It’s so cheap that I’m not expecting much
  14. It would be really good to know if the DB eater makes enough of a reduction - I’d happily ditch the quiet exhaust for one of those if it does the trick!
  15. @Gadzooks I’ve currently got a hanger111 quiet track exhaust on my 400 ready for a track day in late April. I don’t know how the 2bular compares but the noise is so disappointing compared to the standard 400. In future I’ll leave it to the very last minute before swapping it over for any track days
