  1. Well, we have been absolutely amazed by the support we've received for our charity auction and raffle this year. Our LitP sponsors and friends have done us proud with prizes still rolling in even today! A massive thank you one and all! Here are the full lists for you all to savour. Be sure to purchase plenty of raffle tickets and bid furiously on Sunday and let's raise as much money as we possibly can for Rainbows. Thanks and see you all soon The LitP Team
  2. Yet another selection of raffle prizes for you all! Absolute Lotus Magazine will again be in attendance at 'Lotus in the Peak' It is an excellent publication, if you have not had a chance to sample it then please visit their stand. They have also donated 2 x Prizes for the raffle - A year's subscription to Absolute Lotus magazine plus a merchandise bundle of back-issues https://absolutelotus.co.uk/ And another of our long term LitP friends - Allon White Sports Cars has donated an 'A' service or equivalent for your Lotus for our raffle. 3. We're on the final countdown now and have another two more prizes to tell you all about! Paul Golding of Lotus on Track has yet again been most generous in donating TWO track days, one at Donington Park, the other on the Silverstone GP circuit. Thanks Paul! These will feature in our pre-lunch charity auction so dust off those wallets ready ☺️ In our opinion Lotus on Track are the best organised track days so if you're thinking about doing one then Lotus on Track is the way to go. https://www.lotus-on-track.com/
  4. Here's two more prizes to tell you about. Firstly a new sponsor for LitP - Steve Gill of Maverick Coatings Limited (based near Burton on Trent) has offered us a fabulous prize that will feature in our charity auction. He is offering to re-coat the auction winner's Lotus wheels up to the value of £250 (more than sufficient to do any wheels of 19 inches or less). So bring your wallets and be ready to bid on the day! What a great prize! Thank you Steve. Here's a link to Steve's Facebook page Maverick Coatings Secondly, another great raffle prize from somebody who needs no introduction - our very good friends at Eliseparts.com. A superb lightweight racing trolley jack! If you're looking for a part for your Lotus then Eliseparts are hard to beat! Thank you guys! You can email them at sales@eliseparts.com or call on 01480 860002 All proceeds from the auction and raffle go to the Rainbows Hospice for children and young people
  5. Please Note: The last orders for 'Lotus in the Peak' via the MLOC store is this Wednesday 29th June, if you wish to join us after this you will need to pay £12 on entry at Chatsworth on the day. 6. More LitP raffle prizes have been generously donated for this year's event. Car Service Packs (https://www.carservicepacks.co.uk/) have given us a £75 voucher - for those that don't know them they supply high-spec oils and other service items by mail order at very competitive prices. The proprietor Graham Laslett is an Elise racer. Check out their website. Thanks Graham! My Lotus Parts (https://www.mylotusparts.com/) have given us a £100 voucher. My Lotus Parts are a new business sourcing and supplying genuine Lotus parts for the Elise and Exige platform cars, and have taken over the business of well known and respected Lotus man, Phil 'Junks' Peeks. Thank you My Lotus Parts! Both businesses will be at Chatsworth for the event. The raffle prize draw will take place after our picnic lunch at Chatsworth on the big day, Sunday 10th July 2022. All proceeds go to our supported charity Rainbows Hospice for children and young people with life-limiting conditions. To buy raffle tickets, and to pay for entry to the event if you haven't already, go to https://www.midlandslotus.co.uk/, or if you prefer, you can pay the entry fee on the gate at Chatsworth and buy raffle tickets at the MLOC gazebo. We look forward to seeing you there! The LitP organising team
  7. Hi Everyone, we have a good number of first timers booked on to Lotus in the Peak this year and have had one or two query not having received tickets. To clarify: there are no printed tickets for LitP. Everyone that has booked will receive full instructions digitally by email in the week before the event. For those booked on a run these instructions will include your group number and leader. There will also be a 'run signing on form' - It is important that this form is printed off, signed and handed to your assigned leader on arrival at your start point. This is a legal requirement for our MSUK event approval. No form no run! So please take care to bring it with you to the start point. Please keep an eye on your inbox and be sure to check your spam mail just in case! Additionally - All those booked onto the 'Classic Run' please note there has been a change of run start start point and it will now be Calton Lees Car Park Chatsworth, off the A6012 DE4 2NX. (NOT HASSOP STATION CAFE). Thanks everyone - We're all looking forward to a great day, we hope you are too The LitP Team
  8. Thanks Scotty and all the LitP run leaders, it's people like yourselves who freely volunteer their time that make the event so great Another update on prizes... And we also have an 'A' service courtesy of Lotus specialist - Foulds Motors - Thank you Chris for your longstanding support. MLOC member Alec Grimsey has very kindly donated a £75 voucher off any booking of one of his Cornish Holiday Homes http://www.cornishholiday.info And Central Lotus have been magnificent in their support this year. Not only have they offered an 'A' service and a Lotus jacket for the raffle but they have also donated three superb auction prizes:- An indoor car cover of your choice to suit an Elise,Exige or Evora A Lotus approved machine polish and ceramic paint protection worth £500 and not forgetting the small item of a full days use of their very own Emira, fully insured. The 'pootle in the peak' places are strictly limited and priority is being given to those staying over the weekend at our Oakhill base. A few places MAY become available to those not stopping at Oakhill. I can't make any promises but your best bet would be to send a pm through MLOC to 'Elisemadray' to register your interest. 14. I bought some textured vinyl and made my own whilst in lockdown and still have sufficient left to cut out another set should you be interested. They're a good thickness so very durable but on the downside you do need to be careful not to get any wax residue into the textured surface which is more textured than OE. More details on my MLOC post... https://www.midlandslotus.co.uk/forum/topic/68309-vinyl-shark-fins-on-a-budget/
  15. Nice looking yellow na sports racer come on the market today for anyone looking... https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/13252397
