  1. How do you know if someone is a Vegan? Because they will always tell you!
  2. Likewise if you find you have more tickets than you need, I'd really appreciate you getting in touch. Thank you
  3. Hi Bibs, Will the ticket ordering software be able to do an audit and filter out those ****** who have booked more than once? Seems like the tickets sold out in a remarkably quick time? Must be great for those of us not at work at mid-day on a Friday! Cheers
  4. I tried to smile and wave from my pushbike, but Id done so many miles I apologise if it came across as a grimace!
  5. My wife had a Suzuki Cappuccino 3cyl 650cc turbo that redlined at 9500 revs. Great fun and got to 60 considerably quicker than my 5.7 litre Corvette did!
  6. When he speaks, like all of us he wants whats best for the country and all the people in it, and politics aside, he comes across as being a decent chap. Its just the way he wants to fund his expenditure that stinks and doesn't add up. Rather like an irresponsible idiot who has a credit card and doesn't realise that you cant carry on spending without sooner or later you are going to have to pay back your debt.
  7. ........pretty soon? Crikey we saw through Corbyn's bullshit years ago! He continually picks subjects dear to everyone's heart and conscience and thinks it will immediately get better by throwing millions of pounds at it.
  8. Come on Steve its not that hard - what compass direction is 180 Deg from NW? Then put that infront of LOC. Unfortunately due to some falling out over the years, if I gave to the full title of the Lotus regional website you need to access, this Website converts it to the 'Playground' or PM me
  9. If it is TVRGLEN then apparently he isn't very pleasant at all. I'd advise you to stay clear. If you log onto the playground there is chapter and verse written about them. If it is TVRGLEN then apparently he isn't very pleasant at all. I'd advise you to stay clear. If you log onto to a certain Lotus Forum whose first two initials are 180 degrees from NW and the last three initials are LOC, then there is chapter and verse written about them.
  10. You should find out why the deficit is rising and what will be done about it. Is there a Pensions Board with Trustees at your company - if so talk to them. I thought that schemes were only allowed to reach a certain percentage underfunded before Ombudsman intervention. I presume your retirement age is 60 in which case you will probable get fleeced something like 5% for every year you take your pension before you reach 60 so 15%! Cant really see you ending up with nothing - hopefully this will allay your fears > https://www.fscs.org.uk/what-we-cover/products/pensions/fscs-compensation-for-pensions/
  11. Where in Northumberland is it Steve? If its at TVRGLEN I would avoid them like the plague.
  12. Oooh couldn't entertain either of those Ian. Have you tried Swimming and/or cycling? I was petrified that I'd clap the pounds on when injury put paid to my Fell Running 'career' but the swimming/cycling combo have kept the pounds off. I'm sure I once read that if you loose weight dieting you have got to keep the weight off for a couple of years or it goes straight back on the minute you look at a pint and a curry.

    Rats

Shall I send my son down? We had a rat problem and he chased it round the garden and speared it. The sight of a 16.5 stone 'ripped' Rugby League player stripped to the waist, charging around armed with a pitchfork had every living creature in the area running for cover, including his parents!
  14. Thanks for the comprehensive reply Barry. Just what I wanted. The search goes on!
  15. Since selling my S4S to funds my sons house purchase, I've been iytching to come back to the Esprit fold. Just spotted this car on eBay and it seems too good to be true. Does anyone know the car - there is not much of a description and what there is shows worrying grammatical and spelling errors that usually shouts out 'con' - must admit 'coolercharger' made me smile though! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LOTUS-ESPRIT-S4-2-2-COOLERCHARGER/253308178007?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 It has several S4S items of bodywork - rear spoiler and I think wheel arch extensions and the end of line rear lights which I hate and the dash looks black - was it on the S4 - it was wood on my S4S?. As usual all help and advice appreciated - does anyone live in Cardiff and would be prepared to go and have a shufti as I cant get down there before the auction ends. Thanks and regards, Andrew
  16. Sheffield Wednesday 2 - 4 Sheffield United Not so much happy as ecstatic Problem with being a 'mixed marriage' though, is that as the victor, I've had to do all the cooking (and drinking!).

    Ale

You could have got a 72 pint barrel of Farmers Blond for £85 then nipped over to my place and borrowed my handpump and tilter! Got taken round here for my Birthday lastweek > http://www.sentinelbrewing.co/. The Guide informed us that Sheffield is now the brewing capital of the country because of the number of Breweries here. Top venue - a mate is having his wedding reception here in a couple of weeks. Even the 'Kop Lager' was acceptable, but then again I am biased as the place is just down the road from Beautiful Downtown Bramall Lane!
  18. Thanks for the heads up matey, but me and a fellow MLOC friend who has just sold his immaculate Type 49 S1 Elise, long ago agreed that there is far too much white in the Evora Type 49 - very similar to the prototype S2 Elise Type 49. I'll send him a link to the post just in case he's changed his mind - but I haven't! Regards, Andrew
  19. I fully understand your Dads comments. I cant remember what cover was on the Elise, but I had a fleece lined heavy duty tailored cover on my Esprit and the car remained wet for ages after it rained. Whereas I put a £9.99 nylon cover on my MR2 which flapped about in the breeze and the car dried out much quicker. The big concern about microblisters is damp from underneath rather than via the paintwork which neither Ventureshield nor a cover can protect you from. It really is a lottery dependant on what weather you get whilst you are storing it. How reachable is Sheffield for you - is it worth considering bringing your car up here on a dry day and storing it with mine?
  20. Me too - after years of searching for an S2 Type 49 my patience has been rewarded.......... and it was upgraded to 190 Spec in 2009. Couldn't let SWMBO get away with having a car in her footy team colours and not me!
  21. Have you really no other option than storing it outside - possibly pay for storage? I stored our Elise outside with a top quality car cover and ended up with the dreaded microblisters all over the front clam and I'm not alone in the experience.
  22. Wow - does that say 290 bhp? Sorry I've got an old pc with a crap screen!
  23. It was the Silver one on LEF that sparked my interest in a GT3 and whilst Silver is not really the colour for me, the contrast with the red interior was stunning. Alas (but quite rightly) the owner couldn't wait around all year for me to commit, so it's now gone. Coincidentally Mark the owner of the red S4S Stephen mentioned above was interested in my S4S 2 years ago, but wasn't a fan of yellow I recall, and mine was a Cat D. I enquired about his car and he's already reduced the price, hence my original conclusion that an S4S is out of my price range. I think the Yellow GT3 has also gone as its disappeared off evil Bay. The more advice I receive, the more I'm thinking I'd miss the extra bhp of an S4S hence me thinking of Pete Musgrove's car which apparently packs nearly 300 bhp as he's added a Chargecooler. Thanks for your thoughts so far, please keep them coming! Cheers, Andrew
  24. Thanks Barry, I must admit I'm undecided on awesome or revolting!
