  5. Kim, Yasuo and I should be getting to the Premier Inn Leybourne about 3.30-4pm assuming their flight arrives on time. As taxis are always an issue can each of you kindly indicate if you are staying at PInn Leybourne and if you need a taxi to and from the Nevill Bull please ? That way when we get to the hotel we can check the numbers on here then Kim, Yasuo and I can book enough taxis for those that say they will need one? Thanks

  12. Your are in for a real treat. Yes lots of classics attend but unless you have a pre 66 car then you are sent to park in fields surrounding the the site along with everyone else took the S4s last time but not sure I'd bother in the future. Expect to queue to get in. Early bird and all that. If you are not in one of the grandstands then a folding camper chair is a good idea or a least a blanket to sit on but the chair is better if you can be bothered to carry it round. We try to get a space up at Madgwick ( the first corner from Start / finish) as the view is good, you see the starts which are generally exciting and you get an excellent view of the historic planes coming in at low level. We are going Saturday.
  13. Quinton Wilson even mentioned them on his recent classic car show earlier in the year as a possible future classic that might be worth a punt due to the current low values.
  14. Some of those Bentley Arnage T's are going for daft money at the moment 6.8 litre twin turbo , 459 bhp, 0-60 5.5 secs and 170 mph extreme luxury for £20-£25,000 (cost new approx £170-£200K)

  17. ps after the rum it was gin not vodka and the floor was very confortable once you got down there, I just had further to go than most . Strangely the moning minies in the hotel were saying we were talking to loud nothing else and the guy from reception looked almost embassed at having to knock on the door . it was alot of something over nothing but some folk do love to have a gumble I guess.

  20. Well that was fun Caroline and I had a brilliant weekend in the Peak District. Stayed in a great pub with excellent Ales and was full of locals all of the time (good sign that). Managed to get in visits to Bakewell to sample a well-known local pudding and the Spa town of Buxton which was holding its 175th Well Dressed Annual Carnival!! So that started in 1840 then!! On Sunday we took to the roads with 100 other Loti in the “Lotus in the Peak “. A couple of hours driving wonderful country side, with breakfast at an old converted railway station at Hassop with the run finishing at the incredible Chatsworth House. This was a great event run by Dean and his crew from MLOC. Very slick and professionally run and big hats off to all those involved in putting this together. Nice one. A few photos The Start The Breakfast Stop Chatsworth House Even managed to visit the Historic Town of Warwick on the way home.
