  1. What a good looking car. Congrats & enjoy!!
  2. Haha. Speaking of cigars, I’m lighting one up tomorrow with a friend! Just need to source that wheely armchair... 🤔
  3. Thanks all. I went up to test drive the car a few weeks ago and was fully expecting to collect & drive home. However there was a slight delay on the dealer end, and they arranged free delivery. I would have done the whole travel up the night before + train slog... but nice (and convenient) that it turned out this way 😊 Thr delivery process itself was great. I was kept informed on the drivers whereabouts and his ETA throughout. Poor guy had never driven a Lotus before so struggled to start the car with the ignition. I ended up driving it down the ramp & off the trailer as he observed & guided.

    410 Sport!

Here she is folks, delivered to West London all the way from York. Initial thoughts. Drop dead gorgeous, and after a quick spin, I’ve fallen in love with driving again. Yes my Cayman GTS was brilliant, but the Lotus is a nice upgrade which I’m very happy with. A no nonsense focused sports car with a soundtrack that is pretty epic. Spec wise, it’s a Grey 410 Auto with AC & Cruise. I’m planning on fitting a head unit when I have some time, although really enjoy the minimalist design inside. A special shout out to Alexanders Prestige who have been amazing throughout the buying process. Some initial pics. I’m sure there will be lots more against nicer backdrops 😉
  5. Interesting thread. It’s a decision only you can make. Posting the question on either forum will always go one way. What would you do with the savings if you bought the Mazda? Assess the opportunity cost, as only you know this. If the saving can be put to better use (home improvement, family holidays, etc) and these are deemed more important in the short term, then there’s no debate. Having said that, as many people have already mentioned, buy the right Evora and you won’t experience much depreciation. You could sell in a year with minimum loss and would have experienced one of the best kept secrets on the roads today 😊
  6. Great work mate and look forward to the new pics 👍🏽
  7. Congrats. Was this the silver 400 at Hoffmans? Wasn’t aware the black pack could be retrofitted like that, good work.
  8. So, the update from Leeds Lotus - they've sent the ECU to Lotus HQ who will be looking at it next week at the earliest. They are looking to fix the ECU instead of sending a new one. Frustratingly I was hoping for everything to get sorted this week, but I guess it's better to have this sorted now and not when I have the car. On the plus side, the dealer (Alexanders Prestige, who have been great in all of this), are delivering the car for free. V
  9. Lovely example you have there. Drive in good health! 👍
  10. It’s currently at Leeds for its service. During the software update the ECU became corrupt. No idea how, but they are sourcing a new one from Lotus. I was supposed to collect tomorrow but this has delayed things a little. Now looking at getting the car transported once ready (can’t take any other days off in the coming weeks) and the dealer is looking at arranging this as a goodwill gesture So, a long way of saying I won’t be popping over to see you on my way down, instead I’ll see you at the next meet I’m sure
  11. Here are a few from the day. I believe the GT430 in the parade is the one at Silverstone? I must say it was one of the nicest sounding of the lot!
  12. Was there earlier - what a fantastic event. Lotus stand by far the best Bumped into Mike who has the black Evora 410 Sport. I’ll definitely look at getting an in-field pass next year as part of the club.
  13. What QC issues are you facing? Apologies if it's documented in a different thread
  14. Hello mate what model is it? Can you pm your price please?
  15. For sure 👍🏽 Question. I’m getting them to install a screen. I don’t need anything special tbh... just something with maps and ability to connect to the pre-installed rear view camera. I’m thinking of the Pioneer AVIC F980DAB. Thoughts?
  16. I think it is...but I may need to rush back as it will be quite the drive back to London!
  17. Well lads, I have just secured the Grey 410 😁
  18. Good to know, thanks.
  19. Yes aware it’s an ex press car but from what I’ve been told was used for a lot of the media shots...the black 410 at B&C was the one that was ragged?? The Grey needs a service and I’ve negotiated this is done at Lotus before handover...and at 4K miles, it should want for nothing. My Cayman was PDK and loved the ease of pottering around town and then at the flick of a switch all hell breaks loose A question re: autos...I almost always override with a downshift using the flappy paddles. How does the car go back to automatic mode? Does this change depending on normal / sport / race? Sounds about right. Where abouts in London are you? Nice to hear of a local Evora owner 👍🏽
  20. Ok, so I’ve kind of fallen in love with the 410. I drove the 400 a while ago and was super impressed. But the 410. Just wow. And all that carbon 😍 I drove the following earlier today (took a massive road trip from London!) https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/lotus/evora/16-66-lotus-evora-3-5-v6-410-sport-auto--cruise-control-air-conditioning------------2016/8403921 https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/lotus/evora/lotus-evora-sport-410/6785352 I’d want to retrofit a screen to the Grey. The Yellow spec is spot on. Both auto and manual great to drive. The Grey is an ex press car, but was used mainly for media shots only I’ve been told (not track). The yellow is a demo car @ Oakmere. Im driving the green 410 at Silverstone this weekend and will decide between the 3 after. But leaning towards the Grey. To any Londoners, what are thoughts on auto vs manual? Also, I never knew colour choice could be this agonising 😫 V
  21. Congrats brother, lovely looking car. Drive in good health
