  1. Exhaust wise - you'd need the y-pipe as well or at least a link to join them (any exhaust welder can do this) because the diameter of the 380/390/410/430 box is bigger. Linkage - yes, the older cars need one and happy to see that there are options out there. Dolomiti if you are in the continent, HPE if you are in the UK. I got the latter, and it's a thing of beauty.
  2. HI Martin, how much tread left on these pls? Thanks
  3. Not sure whether mine is the same but I had the early limiter coming in early (around 4k rpm) for a brief moment during a spirited drive back in the summer - out of the blue, no lights on the dash. I was driving on Sport - i switched to TC off and it sorted itself out. I'm not sure whether there was something with the solenoid controlling the exhaust valve - does the limiter kick in early if it "thinks" that the valve is off? Worth mentioning that I don't have a valved exhaust but I guess the ECU is still trying to control it? As said, no lights in the dash and it was cured by switching TC modes so I put it down as one of those things.
  4. I doubt there is any performance difference in real life between a 380 and a 430 - even though the numbers might suggest otherwise. Definitely not enough to make you 'upgrade' from a 380 CUP (which is already brilliant) to a 430 CUP. Going komotec/jubu is a completely different option however but cheaper given the prices of the 380/430 CUP models. Remember that the 430 also has this heavy chargecooled supercharger on top which might offset some of the extra performance - people talk about heaksoak but I never experienced this on my V6 cup albeit I don't live in a hot climate country neither attended a very warm TD yet. Best thing would be to have a go in one but for reference, my Alias23'd V6 cup with some weigh shaving (forged wheels, Li battery and lightweight exhaust) is in par with a 410 (if not quicker).
  5. Game changer if this is proven to be a reliable way moving forwards. I'll start some enquiries, thanks!
  6. I am rather surprised/impressed. How come they map these admittedly tricky to map niche cars and they are not boasting about it on the socials? Noone can offer a map apart from Komotec as far as I'm aware and they only do it if you buy their parts, which are not the best. May I ask for a before/after graph and fitting costs involved? Manifolds is something I was looking to having done myself but inability to map was a show stopper. Thanks
  7. I'm taking mine to Steve Williams on Monday, I only heard great stuff and Steve apparently races in an Evora so he should know these cars inside out..
  8. ok that certainly changes everything, I appreciate that this is advertised as something to protect the engine from the possibility of collapsing catalysts but power and torque gains are also mentioned... Who mapped your car Daniel? I've read that the ECU is locked on our cars? Thanks
  9. Very interesting... Are we talking decat or race cat? Also, who did the mapping please? I'm also considering fitting the EPK on my v6 cup paired with an alias23 kit and a lightweight 2bular backbox that I already have. But losing power is not what I'd like! Thanks.
  10. What a colour! Absolutely sensetional. GT4 to 410 is always a wise move, these cars have so much feel and theatre is unreal. Welcome back to the fold then and pls share some more pics:)
  11. Worth noting that the OEM version is 3 times the price, even with the Lotus tax it makes it considerably more expensive than any after market products. I believe that is because it is an aluminium one piece item (I read somewhere that is is machined from solid but don't quote me on that) rather than many pieces welded together (you can see the ugly welds on the morosso). Problem with the OEM is that it's prone to leaking, mine was solid dry before I dropped it to change the baffles, it then started leaking after 1 year so I now went with the pro-alloy one. Flaps were good as new however so replacing them after 2 years is a tad too soon.
  12. Yeap I know:) It's not the Alias23 at fault here, it's the combo of the 380 exhaust and induction, the car used to work absolutely fine with the kit on and before the loud exhaust was fitted. A very good friend bought this back in beginning of 2018 (or end of 17 I can't exactly remember), a true petrolhead and enthusiast, loves his cars so the car has been looked after and driven as intended. Not sure on history before him though.
  13. Welcome to the V6 CUP ownership:) I know the car, has it still got the 380 exhaust and Alias23 induction?
  14. Pretty much yes. The lined version feels more premium and it'd keep some noise out but then again it's a lotus so you'd barely notice. I wanted an unlined roof to start with because it takes less space when folded and I never drive with the roof on anyway. But my friend sold his on a mate's price and it'd be rude not to go for it:) Lined roofs go for over Ā£800 depending condition so it's the price to also consider. I couldn't personally justify such prices when most of the time it lives in the boot folded:)
