  1. That's 8k rpm - I'd stay clear in all honesty. Based on what jon said online - and he learned the hard way - he wouldn't touch anything that has gone over 7.7k. At 8k, even if you are happy and engine is healthy, it'd be difficult to resell. Noone would go anywhere near.
  2. When you say over rev - how high did it go?
  3. Any idea on the number and out of curiosity, do we know how many V6 cup cars were made and whether the actual numbering is squential or just random?

Hello Jordan, I have one from Specialised Covers in immaculate condition. I bought it 2nd hand from someone who used it only a handful of times up until his garage was built. It is lliterally as new and it came with the upgraded storage bag. I personally never used it - I only bought it 'just in case', but my car is always parked in a closed garage so not needed. I wasn't even planning to sell it, in all honesty if I hadn't seen this advert I wouldn't even know I had it https://www.specialisedcovers.com/stormshield-plus-car-cover It is the stormsheid plus item - cost around £350 if you factor in the upgraded storage bag. I can let it go for £220. Let me know if you are interested. Yiannis
  5. Looking awesome, these are not road legal in the states are they? Got any more pics? I see it's got a full cage:)
  6. Hi Adam, The V6 Cup seats are FIA approved in CF with the frame being super thin - with that said, I'm not sure how the sport seats are but at a guess I'd say they might be thicker/different. Again, someone else might need to confirm that. Tillets is a superb option but I don't really fancy swapping mine as they are such a good looking seat and I also wish to maintain the originality, hence my quest for the OEM FIA rails. I'll give Kev mentioned above a shout maybe I'm lucky!
  7. Good luck finding this part - this was my first enquiry when I got my v6 cup 4 years as I wanted to ditch those terrible rails that at the time had a play in them (common issue, sorted with tensioners). I was told by B&C and many others that this part was discontinued - all efforts since then to locate the FIA mounts have gone to the bin. There is a US company called Inokinetic that make rails that drop the rear of the seat - that however causes the front to raise and therefore bring the knees closer to the steering so I decided to not go for it. Please let us know how you get on - if you get your hands on the FIA rails I want a ser as well!
  8. Very nice Sotirios, love the journey - LY is such a colour isn't it? I'm a Renault Sport fanboy but this colour suits every single sports car out there. How did you find the fitment and quality on the Eltech skirts? They are also making the non flat items (like the 430) which look good and I'm tempted with the fiberglass option as my car hasn't got any CF on it; https://www.eltech-italia.com/carbon-fiberglass-lotus-exige-s3-v6/
  9. @Frimley111R 410 did not come with a button to control the exhaust valve but some owners retro fitted it hence you see some examples with it present. Very easy to do apparently - all wiring is there to begin with so it's just a case of buying the actual button:)
  10. Good to know thanks for the update. May I ask, are the EP kits that Jim does the same for all S3 exiges or the diameter of the Y pipe is different? Thanks
  11. Hello:) When you say fast - with what car do you compare it against? In real life there is no much between the S3 Exiges even if the power outputs suggest otherwise. The sound is great on the >=380 cars but you can always retrofit their exhaust on any early S3 exige. The 410 is a better car overall no question about that, as it comes with a lot of goodies from the factory but again - in real life - when you are sitting behind the wheel and for road driving, the experience is very very close which personally does not justify the extra £20k. The absolute sweet spot is a 350 - exposed linkage and newer car than the early V6S. The absolute bargain is a V6 CUP because you get all the good bits like CF seats, A frame, harnesses, 2 piece brakes, 2 way Nitrons, alcantara interior, removable steering wheel, oil catch tank, baffled sump, fire suppression and electric cut off switches from the factory for under £50k. For me, this is the best of the S3 cars if you can live with the spartan interior (they are all stripped out from factory) - bonus points the plaque and bragging rights that your car is built by Lotus motorsport department - last of the true CUP cars:)
  12. This is great thanks Mark. The reason I asked about the fitment was because a member on the V6 facebook forum had the exact same fitment issue so they had to fabricate something themselves to make it fit. At the time I thought that it was an one off but it seems not and tbh at this price range I'd expect everythint to fit like a glove - might have to drop Jim a call:) Thanks again for the info:)
  13. Hi Mark, This is very helpful many thanks for your reply. I'm curious as to where the vibration comes from, not that I mind, car is already raw so a bit more wouldn't make any difference:) 2 questions please. Did you go with 200 cell and if so, has the noise improved? I would be looking for a bit more raspiness from the exhaust:) Any issues with the fitment? Also, what was the condition of the oem catalysts? Have I got a genuine reason to worry? Many thanks:)
  14. A bit of a follow up on this one:) Any feedback on Jim's EPK? Have you got it fitted and if so, did you need to remap? I'm also considering this but not sure whether my ecu (64 plate V6cup) will cope on a stock map - already on an Alias23 induction and 430 exhaust. Thanks
  15. Absolutely agree - action aside, this is gorgeous to look at! 2 pics before I had the trim installed - the Ti fixings do not come with the kit mind you, that was my little mod:)
