Could be handy knowing local owners, will help if possible. I have not done too much to my car (although todo list is getting longer) and MOT at end of month ...
  2. Cranes Farm Road, Basildon. Seen at 7.25am. Is there an owner nearby? I was entering the Tractor plant as you went by.. Regards Brado
  3. My manifold is OK but wastegate and adaptor pipe is knackered... How much you want for yours if you are selling? Cheers

  8. I started buying autographs on Ebay once. I got hold a Steve McQueen that wasnt cheap, but discovered it was a fake (the paper it was on was not produced until more than ten years after he died). I got my money back but stopped after that. Some I have :- Jimmy Greaves James Garner Frank Bruno Sarah Michelle Geller
  9. I am not a fan of large stickers or aftermarket sunstrips but I dont mind advertising what I like. Smaller stickers that can be put in the everyday car as well sounds like a good idea
  10. Not wanting to start a new topic for similar issue so I will post my experiance here. I tried fitting an exhaust and all turbo studs sheared, so thought best remove turbo, and manfold studs sheared, also wastegate exhaust pipe had to be removed and those sheared as well (good start). A colleague of mine drilled out the turbo studs and that has now been cleaned up and new studs fitted ready to back on. Could possibly do the manifold studs in situ but as wastegate studs need coming out thought about removing the whole wastegate section of the manifold. Now scared these will shear and reading others experiances even more scared. Last thing I want to do is crack main manifold or remove it. any one got the wastegate studs out in situ? whats likelyhood of wastegate manifold studs shearing? Any advice? sounds like these are common issues.. Thanks
  11. I cleaned up my header tank and had to repair it after shot blasting... But also all securing nuts/studs were seized. these were drilled out. I have replaced with rubbernuts (also called wellnuts) these are brass nuts in a rubber sleeve, with stainless bolts. used them on the boot floor as well. havent driven car since so dont know if they are going to stay tight but they are meant for motorbike flarings so ideal for fibreglass cars I hope...
  12. Been asking myself the same question. I am looking out for railway sleepers, if I can get a gentle slope cut on the ends should just be a matter of driving on. If I fix wheels to one end of each sleeper so it touches the ground when lifted at the other end should make them easier to move.. Anyone tried this??
  13. I have just repaired my battery tray with fibreglass and made a strap to hold down the battery.. I am still looking for boot carpet, This seems like rocking horse s**t. I think I will make some templates and get some carpet cut.
  14. The guys taken some stick in the press but im prepared to give him a fair shot at Bond, The trailer looks good (cant understand the French).
  15. my bottle was rusty and so bead blasted it and now its religious (holy). trying to see if a tinsmith I know can repair. If not I need one as well
