  1. Well in 2020 for the GT410 in its year of introduction they made 20 total, 17 with Manual transmission, only one in Military Grey 😀 Anyone know the 2021 numbers?
  2. All GT410's are listed as Sports as it wasn't financially viable for Lotus to do the necessary Type Approval again for such an expectedly low number of cars so a selling dealer really needs to know their stuff if they are to list it correctly rather than what the V5 says is true. Not sure the DVLA would have listed "Phil's Spec" as a model type anyway - Andy Graham the Lotus Archivist though does keep the numbers separate though so your Provence Certificate Pack numbers (eg 1of 20 etc etc) will apply to the non Sport (and vice-versa for Sports)
  3. Great to hear it's all fixed but yes a shame Lotus warranty isn't what it was. Did you have anything else done while the clam was off?
  4. Having bespoke converted mine from +2 to +0 I get the best of both worlds luggage deck and folding seats and no pesky net with less weight too ☺️
  5. Getting grubby on a recent stay over in Northumberland - as any proper GT car should 😀
  6. Thanks @Timbotucker - that's good to know as Oulton is only 15 mins up the road - don't think Anglesey should be such an issue as its a static limit only I think and it used to be (it being about 12 years ago since my last trackday) you'd only get tested if they thought you were really really loud As to oil surge I agree don't see it as an issue for occasional use but for GT430 (due to higher forces) and maybe if you do many trackdays back to back might be a precaution to fitted the baffles as likely that driver is also a much better pilot than I would ever be so generate higher forces again repeatedly
  7. @Timbotucker Do you have the standard exhaust? Had mine noise tested at Oulton and it passes the static test (just!) and given the inverse square law I think it will pass the drive-by but be good to know if no issues encountered - though I have had reports of the odd trackday being perhaps 'relaxed' shall we say in noise terms - though I don't think I'd have that sort of luck 😀
  8. Hope you're successful, Paul couldn't get Lotus to flex on my warranty given the circumstances it had expired (they now are glued to the letter not the spirit) which I think from previous Lotus experience they would have done historically - and I saw @21gg 's car last week - first time seeing it, looked lovely! I was collecting parts to replace many rusty underpinnings 🙄
  9. Yes its a little disappointing but it is only niggly bits - HVAC panel lights and the diffuser is showing signs of corrosion - all of which can be addressed but would have been nicer for me to have someone else pay......☺️
  10. No I'm the second owner (and have a warranty from the dealer I bought from for major failures) but I wonder if the original owner knew about it as they moved the car on around the expiry date - it would just have been good to get some minor items sorted not at my expense. But to be clear the warranty started before the car was registered or the first owner bought it and it got registered (in fact nine months earlier 😮) so nothing to do with a dealer doing a pre-reg - it's just the Lotus T&C's for new car warranty don't rely wholly on the registration date which I think is what mere mortals like me just assume ☺️
  11. So we are sorted but not with the outcome I was looking for - seems the original dealer registered the warranty start in the previous September (not something they informed me of when I spoke to them yesterday despite them going away to investigate) to it being road registered in the July as they marked it as a demo (presumably on trade plates) so the warranty has expired ☹️ - seems there's no goodwill available for this one but if you don't ask....... So if you have a late registered car maybe one to look at and see when your warranty will expire. It seems warranty begins if the car has covered 50 miles (irrespective of any ownership or road licensing), if a dealer keeps a car for a year, or it gets registered.
  12. Many Thanks @Bibs they are just investigating hoping to hear tomorrow but depending on the update may yet need your assistance........
  13. So I have a couple of items I want to have attended to under warranty, my car was registered on 19 July 2021 so the warranty in the UK should expire on the 18 July 2024, however Lotus have refused any consideration of a warranty claim as they say this expired on the 30 September 2023. This isn't the anniversary of the build date, or the delivery date to the original dealer (according to the WayBackMachine they listed the car before the September) and the original dealer confirms the new at registration date as per the invoice is correct. All my paperwork original dealer invoice, DVLA letters confirming the registration number allocation and Registration document all confirm the July 2021 date, but Lotus are standing by the date on the system. Who at Lotus looks after warranty claims here in the UK as the claims handlers in Holland are obviously unable to apply any variation as to what the computer says. Update ***Have logged the issue with UK Lotus Customer Care - who confirmed 36 months from registration date***
  14. 👍 Totally agree but then again I'm a bit biased.............
  15. Two main reasons - we don't really travel light - as we are into photography so there's always extra camera bags as well as luggage on trip so maximum volume is required and the existing seats cushions & squab actually take quite a few litres of space out of the car - so why not maximise the usable space and secondly lobbing wheeled bags and the like in will scuff the seats over time and this way I will avoid that too, oh and I guess we all like to have something that personalises our cars ☺️
