  1. Maxi, give it a try and do change the trans fluid often. I've been using the combo on my 2-Eleven since new (2008) on a preventative basis and KNOCK-ON-WOOD, I've never had a synchro issue on my C60x trans. Running stock synchros but with SSC stronger 3rd and 4th gears plus OS Giken LSD in the 2-Eleven.
  2. Maxi, the addition of a little, up to a quart, of the synchromesh additive pictured above (there are 2 versions -- you want the one that says "Friction Modified") did make a difference on the Toyota C60x transmissions used in the S2 models when combined with MT90. MTL ( a 75W-80 grade) would not be the ticket. The combo of fluids was a cure for a 2nd and 3rd gear grinding/crunching many were experiencing with those trannys (assuming the synchros were not already destroyed). The additive increased the "bite" of the synchros to help them do their job. Anecdotally, we also found that changing the trans fluid often appeared to keep the trans happy. By often, I mean with every oil change, change the trans fluid....cheap insurance. We picked up on this "secret sauce" solution (combining MT90 with some AC Delco Synchromesh) from the Honda guys that were having problems with grinding, especially into 2nd gear, on the S2000 cars.
  3. Another day on track @ Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch -- my home away from home..... ....... https://www.springmountainmotorsports.com/facility Bottom photo illustrates the current total track layout of 6.1 miles. An additional 9 miles of track is being planned -- the goal is to have the longest road course in the world.
  4. Trying adding some GM Synchromesh-friction modified to the MT90.....perhaps 1/2 to a full quart, with the balance being the Redline MT90
  5. Rainer, I have a V6CupR w/sequential and LSD-- no DPM from the factory, but I do have variable traction control which now works properly with my slicks since I've added the Bosch Motorsport ABS. Given my change of tires from the R-comps (which came standard on the CupR and have different ODs than the Yokohama slicks), the standard ABS system could not handle the extra grip, intervened excessively; and, perhaps more importantly, the way the ABS intervened was frightening.....like your brakes were virtually ineffective. You would have to lift off and go back on quickly to reset the system. The only way to drive around this abs deficiency would be to brake easy at first and slowly increase brake pressure.... not the ideal braking technique for track use. Since going with the motorsport abs, the next step will be ditching the brake booster and going with a "pedal-box" to provide more granularity/resolution when applying the brakes. The brake booster is virtually the equivalent of an "ON-OFF" switch, making precise brake pressure modulation quite difficult. Not sure my race shop would be of much help as they are located in the US.
  6. I better work on my ride height....looks like my "roll center" is below ground level. Fun with the V6 CupR .....
  7. @alias23-- yes, 1mm per side for mine. My geo sheet FYI (you won't want as much negative camber, given the rubber you are running )
  8. Also, worth noting regarding re-oiling post cleaning.....there are two varieties of oil available from ITG for their foam filters. I believe the filters come pre-oiled using JDR1. 1) JDR1 -- ITG DUST RETENTION COATING FILTER OIL (LIGHT DUTY) 2) JDR2 -- ITG AIR FILTER OIL (HEAVY DUTY) A good instructional video regarding cleaning ITG filters ...
  9. Thanks for the info. I've heard so many horror stories of dealing with Eltech, I was thinking of going with Elise-Parts' version.... do you have an opinion on their access panel offering? Your thoughts would be welcome. TIA
  10. Looking good George! Where's the best place to get one of those access panels? TIA.
  11. @alias23--More info for you..... The 20P-SC was close to the dimensions of the stock VARTA that came with the CupR, so it fit nicely w/in the CupR's battery box. The stock battery from the CupR --weight 15Kg (33 lbs); replaced it with the Super B lithium battery --weight 3.6Kg (7.9 lbs)
  12. Imran, ^^^^^ I've been running a super-b for the last few years--highly recommend.
  13. @NANO 1) Chrome Orange 2) Built in 2014 and shown as a Model Year 2015 on MSO (Manufacturer's Statement of Origin)
  14. Does mine qualify for the V6 Cup Register -- my build # 061. Built by Lotus Motorsport ......
  15. Hey George....if by IT, you mean YOU.....I agree. Based upon your videos/photos, it's clear that you have a knack for inducing oversteer.....well done.
  16. Sorry Imran, I made an assumption that you had a plate-type LSD...my bad. You know what they say about people that make assumptions. I went with a torque-sensing (Torsin) LSD back in a 2006 Exige and found it to induce understeer, especially mid-corner in relatively fast sweeping corners.
  17. Imran, Yes, run the LS version. BTW, it has been available for many years, or at least as long as I have owned my CupR (~ 5 years). X-trac recommended I run that fluid. It is my understanding that the LS version has a different additive package, including a different friction modifier.
  18. Sorry Nicolas for the late reply..... but I do not have any links/docs relating to the install of the Bosch Motorsport ABS system, as my local race shop did the work. I do have a couple pics....
  19. Love it ...... "shock-loading" aka jerking the shite out of the car while loading it.
  20. @C8RKH.... That Inconel heat shield pictured above was custom made to fit the specific headers...it's not a wrap version and not a DIY project. Photos are from a friend's V6 install. https://turbosource.com/pages/inconel-custom-made-heat-shielding-ordering-form Inconel is considered a super alloy and special metals with specific applications. It has several characteristics that make is a desirable metal. Inconelalloys are resistant to corrosion which makes it suitable for some extreme environments. It is also resistant to oxidation and can withstand high temperatures.
  21. No Imran, it will be these headers...... https://www.boefab.com/products/evora-tuned-headers Along with a MoTec ECU and custom tuning using a wide-band controller....no more narrow-band O2 sensor/MAF. Life is short and the world is going bonkers....might as well spend some $$$$ before it's too late.
  22. Sorry, I can't help you as my car is track-only, so I didn't need to worry about airbag, parking brake, etc., icons/idiot lights. AiM was able to create a CupR ECU driver/protocol with some cooperation from Lotus a few years ago which provides 111 ecu channels -- now included in their library of ECU drivers. I added sensors for additional analogue channels, e.g., fuel pressure, gearbox temp, boost pressure, post blower IAT and duplicate oil pressure and oil temp. Also, added a CAN expansion (AiM LCU-ONE) for lambda/AF ratios. Programming warning alarms/colors/pop-up messages, shift lights, math channel for accurate gear indication, various display pages, and syncing channels to SmartyCam functions was pretty easy. A clean install w/in stock binnacle is what requires some talent, which is above my pay grade. . Pictures below showing progress during install and final result :
