  1. There is the Innovative mounts kit for the older exige v6 models and you should be able to use 2 of them ( at least it was like that on the 380 CUP ) I fitted the 2 available on the 380 CUP and they were slightly better than oem but I would say that even the standard ones are ok on the latest cars
  2. The Gearbox is the same the only difference is the bigger size clutch The pistons can be the weak point on this engine but for some reason it seem that the 410 420 430 versions with oem watercooled supercharged are usually reliable even with oem pistons probably because the air intake temperatures are lower and the electronics are improved The Komotec airbox is probably the best available but VONE racing seem to have really good products and good reputation for their remap so their airbox is probably a really good choice Komotec sells really good performance kits and probably their standard map would be ok to use with your exhaust but the way they sell some parts or not depending on their mood is a bit special of course another option is the SSC HKS air filter kit with optional carbon shroud as even if someone doesn t like the HKS foam as it can get dirt quickly etc it s still similar to the oem kit used on the V6 cup R but with an extra carbon shroud so the flow should be good enough even if probably not as refined as the komotec or vone racing ones
  3. For track use you should also consider that the Lotus is using the same reservoir for clutch and brake fluid so some improvement could be made by using some good quality brake fluid as castrol srf or endless or motul RBF 660 or similar ( make sure it s some suitable spec ) and also purge the clutch line with it. Make sure the gear shifter is properly adjusted by the dealer or a Lotus specialist. I never used some higher viscosity 75w140 fluid so not sure if it s ok but Motul gear 300 or some Redline gearbox oil can improve gear shifting ( I think MT90 is the right one for the V6 ) The gearbox oil should be GL4 and not GL5.
  4. On some Lotus special parts website or other site that I can t find anymore there was a special ignition module and the description of it was that it would give some kind of improved or more frequent ( 3x ) spark at lower rpm and then come back to standard spark frequency at higher RPM I saw a similar description of an ignition module in a 340R Japan blog ( in that case it was an MDI made by Nagai Denshi and recommended by Bodyshop Kobayashi ) but wanted to know if a similar product is available in Europe ? Thanks
  5. Any update on the prodimex shifter and on the interior refresh ? Just bought a low mileage 340R and some of your initial impressions are the same , spongy brake feel ( not sure if my car is fitted with pagid RS14 or something else ) and usually the RS14 are a really agressive brake pad on other cars , the gear lever feels like there isn t much return spring , and the interior paint require a refresh. I ordered a prodimex shifter ( just to improve the feel even vs a restored oem shifter ) and some elise parts cables ( I think the old oem cables could be full of old grease and the elise parts cables will be new better and replace the oem rubber bushings with something better and more precise ) On my 340R the suspension bushings and everything related seems in really perfect shape , and as it s a light car the oem bushing can be ok if in good condition. If you require to replace those I would still fit either powerflex or elise parts polyurethane bushings , or if you want for more precision or track usage you can use Nitron or elise parts uniball metal bearings , they are not really necessary especially for a road car , but still I used them on a 260 cup and there were not any noticeable increase in noise or vibration. The Koni OEM dampers do feel good and well balanced , and as suggested they do not make them anymore so you can probably find a place to get them serviced and revalved if required ( maybe at koni ) and if you replace them with something else keep them of course. There are other suspensions that are really good and even better ( Nitron, Quantum, JRZ, Ohlins, Intrax , AST , etc ) and if you want something more specific for track or better for irregular roads you can get something better for sure , but of course aftermarket suspension will not necessarly be better valved and balanced for your expected use , and the koni are already good.
  6. Anyone knows where to purchase a set of blue carpet floor mats ? Thanks
  7. As the title , I d like to know if the Exige S2 floor mat shape should fit on an Elise S1 or 340R ?

    Windscreen for 340R

I replied that I do not own one ( as I just bought one but not delivered yet ) but actually after the refused request the 340R group is not even visible if I search for it...
  9. Message sent The tonneau cover is like the one in the pictures or the one that covers the windshield ? Forgot to say that my car is a LHD and I also just noticed that to install the one in the pictures you would require to put push buttons on the car body and I would prefer not to do that , but in any case I could maybe modyfy the factory one instead of making a custom one so let me know.

    Windscreen for 340R

Still available? On internet I found heated windscreens and motorsport plexi ones
  12. Hello There was some different types of covers for the Lotus 340R , I would especially be interested in the one that is just make to cover the cabin but not the windscreen and that you could partially unzip to drive the car with it over the passenger side. Does anyone have one for sale or know where to find one or know any company that makes them ? I would also be interested in a shower cap that cover the windshield Thanks
  13. Eldon Z I don t know the exact differences but the latest Exige ( as the 380 cup and 430 cup ) have a different rear subframe. Also of the 4 engine mounts 2 are completely different compared to the older cars I purchased some Innovative mounts for my 380 cup and only 2 of them would fit as they were made for the older models ( I think that it s the left and right that are different ) Is your Cup R fitted with the Xtrac sequential gearbox? I m not sure about the manual cup R but with the Xtrac there are Lotus motorsport specific metal engine and transmission mounts with rubber inserts, and of course using the standard 430 cup mounts would not be a recommended option even if they would fit. Do you have some pictures of your cup R?
  14. Hello I did some search but did not find complete info about removing the OEM airbag steering wheel on the exige v6 and replace it with a non airbag racing steering wheel and hub and airbag resistor. I think it s possible to completely replace the OEM hub ( and would like to know the correct MOMO or other steering hub replacement part numbers available ) or to use an adapter or quick release steering kit. In that case I would like to know if a quick release kit and adapter made for an exige cup 260 s2 would directly bolt on the OEM exige v6 airbag hub? Thanks for any details
