Arch trims

One of my arch trims has come away from the body as the fittings have corroded away.  Because of this I can’t see what they were before.  Are they just something along the lines of a bolt held onto the arch trim by tiger seal and the like or are they recessed in etc

Bonded in studs with a spreader plate

On my V8 - I used stainless bolts and some stainless strip. 

Grind the old bonding out and use silkaflex to bond back in again

I also ground doesn’t the bolt heads so they were only a 2-3mm thick.  Old bonding is a nightmare. Air belt sander or electric one is what i used. Just be careful.

Stanley knife the old stuff a bit - then crack on the angle grinder 👍

the silkaflex takes ages to dry - I dried mine on the radiators at home and it stunk the house out. It needs to cure fully.
