Thanks. Really pleased with the colour. The photo was taken after PPF prior to ceramic coating.

Picking up my Cup 250 Final Edition tomorrow,  full PPF completed. Its been a long long wait and a lot of questioning my decision over a used Exige 350 but very happy how things ended up. Its been great watching this thread develop, great pictures and stories unfolding. But nothing prepares you for how good these little cars look in person, photos and videos just cannot do this amazing little car justice. All the best. Scott

(I was told this was the last build slot , so in theory that's it :( )

the car looks amazing. Micheal sent me some pictures from before, in progress and after. The PPF looks stuning, which means, not visible :D

Great choice of colour!

Post pics when you get it. And I can sympathise with the long wait - I still don't have my hands on mine.

In terms of used Exige 350 vs. Cup 250 FE; I personally would take a Cup 250 FE over any S3 Exige, used or new, even if they were theoretically the same price. Many won't agree with me but one things for certain - you can always buy a used S3 Exige later, but you'll never be able to buy a new Elise ever again.

I've swapped this beauty for a 250 Cup so have to agree!

However, I'm sure I could happily go the other way too 🙂

@TonyKL

Really surprised you got rid of that Tony, it was a pretty unique car in both colour & use in photographic circles.

I hope you managed to get a premium for it’s fame of being used by the very top class of French fashion models in the South of France, it was a pretty amazing session we watched 👍

They look soooooo much better @CocoPops. Lovely.

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

God knows I hate a black hole! Silver, better yet Anthracite all the way 😂

Agreed, the black in the first picture just lacks detail and finesse.

MUCH BETTER! I wish this would have come as an option. I actually ordered a set of aftermarket wheels in anthracite for my Isotope car as I think it's the perfect match - even better on yours with the carbon aero.

Did you paint the wheels that came with the car, or order a spare set and have those painted?

So I've been following this thread for almost a year now, seeing all the pics of the lovely FE Cup 250's making their way down the production line and owners taking orders. Though I placed my order in early-March, I had never seen ONE picture of my own car.

It just landed in Jan, but I was out of the country. Immediately upon landing (literally straight from the airport) I stopped by the dealership to see mine. Pics of what I saw.

Full back story here:

(Is cross posting to other forums allowed? If not please let me know and I'll create a new post here).

Interested in any opinions on the matter.

I had a set of the wheels (non Lotus ones) from my Sport220, so when I sold the 220 I kept them and had them repowder coated in anthracite in readiness.

Some of you will have seen and know of the issues I had when going to pick mine up ... very poor paint from the Factory to the extent that the front needed a full wet sand and polish and the roof needed taking back to base coat and then clear coating afresh.

Lotus do not do themselves any favours poor QA, poor communications and making decisions on the fly.  It comes across as non-professional and so I think the Dealers act the same.  You don't buy one of these cars because they make sense, so the Factory and the Dealers take liberties.  If they don't up their collective game then Geely better have deep pockets for all the warranty claims against the Emira.

Haven't heard your story. Do you have a thread on it? (Car looks lovely now BTW). Can't comment on the build quality of mine but I haven't really seen it in the flesh yet - afraid of what I might find.

I agree with your thoughts completely; I feel that since these cars are "for the drivers" (and because mostly track-addicts like me buy them), they're simply track-tools and the dealers treat them like they're selling spanners. They've gotten away with it due to their understanding/fanatic owner base, but they're going to get laughed into bankruptcy when they are dealing w/ people who are cross shopping their Emira with a Porsche and accordingly expect an on-par experience.

Situation with Andys was really very odd. One thing that's always outstanding on Lotus cars is paint.

My FE Has been prefect my door handle hasn't broken yet which is great.  Paint and finish was A1 no rattles which feels very strange!

Given that the factory are doing to be doing the QC on the Emira they clearly have a very long way to go.  They don't look like a company that's going to deliver the Emira to universal acclaim they appear to be the same chaotic setup they always have been.  Still struggling to get parts..... they are supposed to be awash with cash but the same is problems persist!

Not much to say really.  Dealer did the big cover off unveil and after an initial wow ... suddenly it was "what are those big trails in the paint down the roof, why is every panel swirled and scratched, why are there big dull dry spots in the paint on the front clam?"  Dealer says ... oh this is about normal for cars coming to us from Lotus.  I was shocked that it came from the Factory with such flaws and not be picked up in QA and rectified.   To be fair the Dealer was very quick to rectify it, got a warranty claim raised with Lotus and off to a reputable paint specialist to sort out the main issues.  I did get the feeling that these final cars needed to get out the door.  Others in the same batch seemed to be very good - TonyKL's, etc.

Your experience was shocking.  To steal a tyre from a customer's car and then have such little respect for the way it is handled while in their care.   They are only sorry because they got caught.
