That's great news! 😎

Put the date on my calendar, fingers crosses we can make it. The misses is already excited about Chatsworth as we really enjoyed our visit there on our last trip to the peak.

I have made many mistakes in my life. Buying a multiple Lotus is not one of them.

Making a weekend of it is the ultimate way to enjoy your Lotus in the stunning scenery of the Peak District.  With this in mind, the team are pleased to announce another great new venue for next year's 10th Anniversary Lotus in the Peak, taking place from Friday 8th - Sunday 10th July 2022.

Oakhill, a stunning Georgian Hotel in historic Cromford, have agreed to host our traditional and very enjoyable Friday night BBQ, as well as providing accommodation options for the weekend.  They have 10 spacious Kingsize or Double rooms and 4 luxurious suites, and all the rooms are currently being refurbished in readiness for the finest Lotus event of 2022 !   Camping is also available on site, including electric options.

Further information can be found on the Oakhill website, www.oakhillcromford.co.uk.   Please note that bookings must be made by telephone, stating that the reservation is for the Lotus in the Peak event.

Prices may increase next year, but Oakhill have agreed to honour current prices if we book now.    Early booking is therefore advised.   Alternative accommodation is also available in Cromford, Matlock Bath and Wirksworth.

Please stay tuned and follow us for further news and updates for what promises to be the very best Lotus in the Peak event yet 😀

A BIG THANK YOU EVERYONE!

We have had our latest update and the Team are proud to announce car numbers are 50% higher this year than for any previous 'Lotus in the Peak' at this stage, with Lotus of all ages and types.

'Lotus in the Peak 2022’ will be by far the biggest and best yet. If you haven't already then please go to https://www.midlandslotus.co.uk/forum/litpbooking/ to book your place.
If you could also add some raffle tickets we would very much appreciate it and will ensure we have many fantastic prizes for you to win, with all proceeds from entrance fees and raffle tickets going to 'Rainbows' Hospice for children and young people, a very worthy cause.
This is the Lotus Premier Event of the year organised by the Lotus community for the Lotus Community

If you own a rare/historically significant/beautifully restored/remarkably original/racing/pre-restoration barn-find Lotus we would be especially grateful if you bring it along. Let's make this the very best event we can.

Note if you would like to attend and set up a club or trade stand you can - there's no fee – just send a pm to the organising team on MLOC:- either DeanB, Phil S1 or Elisemadray to make the arrangements

We are very excited to announce we have already surpassed the amazing milestone of 200 cars booked. This really is going to be the best 'Lotus in the Peak' yet :)  Well done all of you 👏👏👏
Places on the early morning runs are getting very near to capacity now, especially the Matlock Bath route so to avoid disappointment please book your places now and please also don't forget your raffle tickets in aid of rainbows Hospice for Children and young people. Thank you.

Even once the run places are full you will still of course be able to book to arrive direct to Chatsworth.

Just booked, too bad there weren't any places left for the BBQ... (my own fault for not booking earlier 😞 )

I read something about a 'pootle in the peak' run on Saturday, can we still join that?

Great to have you along Filip, sorry but yes the Friday evening barbecue is now sold out as well as the Matlock Bath run. There are still currently places available on the Ashbourne and Classic runs.

The 'pootle in the peak' places are strictly limited and priority is being given to those staying over the weekend at our Oakhill base. A few places MAY become available to those not stopping at Oakhill. I can't make any promises but your best bet would be to send a pm through MLOC to 'Elisemadray' to register your interest.

All the best

Phil

Thanks for the update Phil! I know we were late to register, so it's my own fault for missing out on the BBQ. Luckily I had planned to do the Ashbourne run, as we're staying in Ashbourne, so that works out just fine.

I'll send a pm as you suggest. Otherwise we'll just have our own pootle about, I know from previous visits there is enough to enjoy to keep us busy. 🙂

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

The small print.

My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

Have to say my Evora looks a big lump in between the 250 Cups. But not to big for the narrow peaks roads it was pure pleasure today.

Thanks Scotty and all the LitP run leaders, it's people like yourselves who freely volunteer their time that make the event so great :respect:

Another update on prizes...

For the raffle we now have a Lotus Hoody and Lotus Tee shirt donated by Simon at Scott-Russell Sports Cars. Not only that but Simon is also sponsoring our Lotus in the Peak welcome packs!

And we also have an 'A' service courtesy of Lotus specialist - Foulds Motors - Thank you Chris for your longstanding support.

MLOC member Alec Grimsey has very kindly donated a £75 voucher off any booking of one of his Cornish Holiday Homes http://www.cornishholiday.info

And Central Lotus have been magnificent in their support this year. Not only have they offered an 'A' service and a Lotus jacket for the raffle but they have also donated three superb auction prizes:-

An indoor car cover of your choice to suit an Elise,Exige or Evora

A Lotus approved machine polish and ceramic paint protection worth £500

and not forgetting the small item of a full days use of their very own Emira, fully insured.

A huge thanks to Connor and all the team at Central Lotus 👏

All proceeds from the raffle and auction will go to the Rainbows Hospice so don't forget to bring your wallets! :)

LATEST NEWS JUST IN - WE NOW HAVE A RECORD BREAKING 250 LOTUS CARS BOOKED TO ATTEND!

Places on the morning runs are now very limited with just a handful of places remaining on the Ashbourne and Classic runs - So book now to avoid disappointment.

Hi Everyone, we have a good number of first timers booked on to Lotus in the Peak this year and have had one or two query not having received tickets.

To clarify: there are no printed tickets for LitP. Everyone that has booked will receive full instructions digitally by email in the week before the event. For those booked on a run these instructions will include your group number and leader. There will also be a 'run signing on form' - It is important that this form is printed off, signed and handed to your assigned leader on arrival at your start point. This is a legal requirement for our MSUK event approval. No form no run! So please take care to bring it with you to the start point.

Please keep an eye on your inbox and be sure to check your spam mail just in case!

Additionally - All those booked onto the 'Classic Run' please note there has been a change of run start start point and it will now be Calton Lees Car Park Chatsworth, off the A6012 DE4 2NX. (NOT HASSOP STATION CAFE).

Thanks everyone - We're all looking forward to a great day, we hope you are too ).gif
