Another 2 mass shootings in the good ‘ole USA

Apparently a bank employee who was sad at losing his job if one is to believe the news.

And then Liz just told me there was another one very near that one.

The mayor lost a good friend in the first one.

Just a tragic waste of lives.

Tragic waste of lives by sad, selfish, individuals whose every fabric of existence should be wiped out for all time, as if they never even existed.

I have no time, sympathy or anything for people who decide to take others with them when they take their own lives. Just pure selfishness and self centred behaviour.

All of my sympathy and thoughts goes to the innocent victims and their families.

i am wondering what it will take before they finally decide to do something about gun ownership and limiting availability to total nut jobs!

We have the same problem here with kids and knives. I wonder when parents will start to do something to limit the availability of knives to their kids..... Or at least bother to look up from their phones and tablets to understand where their kids are and what they are doing.....  Fat chance of that for sure.

One thing I did read on the news was a story that guns used in mass shootings can ultimately be auctioned off to the public. 

If true, the I'm sorry but the US is some seriously fooked up place! Who on earth woukd want to buy a gun that had been used in a mass shooting? Who on earth who has an office of power believes they can justify such an action?

It's a Kentucky law apparently, they cannot be destroyed but have to be resold at auction - so I heard on the news.

That is just absurd!

A country of 433m guns, they care that much about one it either can't be destroyed or kept as evidence! Kind of says it all really, the NRA types care about guns more than their kids.

Well, as a long time student of the human condition I've come to the conclusion that the absurd proliferation of guns in the USA is problematic really only as a symptom of deeply entrenched paranoia. One need only view the editorial programming on Fox News from time to time to see how paranoia is central to their product. Same goes for the NRA as well as most conservative factions, unfortunately. America is capable of being much, much better than this but are just spinning their wheels with infighting. The Russians, Chinese, Iranians et al just grin with satisfaction.
