Hi all. In true ‘if it ain’t broke don’t try and fix it’ spirit, I decided to carry out some maintenance this morning and found a connector not connected to anything (and no sign of what it should be connected to!). 

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm not that familiar with the late carbed turbo, but it is common practice to have the same wire loom for different variants, meaning not all connectors will be used on all cars. It could be something emission related that isn't used (or has been removed) on your car. It doesn't look like it was connected for some time.

I'm sure someone will chime in that recognizes that particular connector. 😉
