Ian is on holiday, so we won't be going 'in convoy' from my place.

Good to get there early as I like parking on the other side of the road, ready for an easy get away. Have told Russell @EGTE about this open day, in case he gets his new car in time.

Hendy Exeter intend to go (have to leave someone in the Exeter showroom though), possibly with the Eletre and an Emira?

Sometimes SWLC get to do a few simple odd jobs for cars that arrive on the day - but I think adjusting the clam may be our of the question.

Not seen it mentioned on the Club Lotus FB page - yet.

Did you see that Ben (James' brother) has left to go and live off grid, he was seen doing the spannering activities on the Mathewson's Restoring classics Esprit

Hi Keith,

I wasn't aware of the changes at SW Lotus - have only used them to sort the broken front indicator so far and so don't know them personally... and no, I didn't expect them to be able to work on the car on Saturday - just to give me an expert opinion on whether it could realistically be fixed at a sensible price 🙂.  I'll have to keep my chat with them a bit below the radar if Hendy are turning up as it was the radiator change that they did that resulted in the clam fitting being a bit off!

What car is Russell getting next?  He's only just got the 410!

See you on Sunday

Have a read of some recent stuff on the GT430 thread.

I hope to get there, but will be late morning and only if little or no rain forecast.  I did call them to ask if they could do a CTS change on the M100 but no answer came the stern reply so not sure if they are up for work on the day this year or not - have since done the CTS change myself and will use the run down as a test.  Saw that Ben has made the lifestyle change.  That won't have helped Phil's retirement plans!

Did see them advertise  for an experienced tech, a couple of months before the news about Ben.

Looks like there will be some rain about, can never tell with the English/Devon weather.

In the past couple of years have got there close to 10am, when I went with Ian.

Then stayed most of the time it was open. At least got away from her indoors for a bit longer.

From SWL FB page - cars in the workshop for the open day, also think they have a couple up for sale shortly.

Will be there about 0945 in the 410.

Might see you on the way, but probably be a bit after you though,

Had a great time - some unusual cars, great turn out, and fun catching up with everyone.  Phil claims that Cygnet is worth £40k - a lot of wonga for an old Toyota city car!

Some on Autotrader at the moment £33-36k. must be paying for the name not its performance. Forgot to take any pics of the ones inside and in the other car park. Good to catch up with other owners, looking forward to next time already. 2 Emira's turned up. Would be great if Hendy Exeter had more room to hold their occasional Saturday/Sunday coffee morning, as they have not had one at all this year.

Was it 6, or 7 Evoras? As you say, great turn out. Sadly had to leave early in order for friend to get COVID jab. Turns out we could have gone any old time.....
