  1. Sounds good @DDubya, I did the Club Lotus Irish Spring weekend last week and a few of the local contingent will be coming over to the open garden too. We'll have an early n/a Evora, Turbo and V8 Esprits and something else, didn't catch what that will be. Should be a lot of cars there on the Saturday.
  2. honestly, a bit of rain.. 😉 Yes, it seems that the SW group is really a combination of CL and LDC, the two clubs are combining efforts quite a bit this year (the CL Irish weekend which I'm doing in a couple of weeks was also communicated through LDC for example). There's a Wessex group drive out (from Salisbury way) to the Yeovil Fleet Air Arm museum on Sunday which I'm going to join - the weather is looking a bit better for those of you who don't like their cars to get wet! No worries, see you at some point soon I'm sure!
  3. I haven't seen anything on here about this so I wondered if anyone... @exeterjeep, @mayevora, @EGTE, @MPx was planning to go along? As usual, I'll use it as an excuse to see my brother for an evening and it's not as far as some of the planned drives this year! Maybe see you at the Sportsmans Arms, Blackawton, Totnes TQ9 7DE?
  4. Exchanged thumbs up, I was in the Evora. First one I’ve seen in the wild… looked fab.
  5. Yes, I got some of their oyster dye a while ago - perfect match
  6. The Janspeed Lotus sport back box on my S1 clearly says track use only on it… I also have a 3rd cat delete pipe and haven’t had any issues at MOT. i may have a noise issue at Castle Combe in May, though I’ve been assured it should be ok… we will see. for me, the system sounds fantastic, especially at higher revs and has lots of off throttle gurgles around town.
  7. You’ve probably checked but on mine I found that the rubbish screen wash was due to the pipe being pinched by the access hatch. re routed it to avoid the catches etc and it’s now fine.
  8. They don’t hang around do they…? … still seeing that 0% deal on i4 Emiras on facebook for the Exeter branch! Lets hope there’s another dealer / agent waiting in the wings for any of us who may eventually want to buy a new car! Real shame for Lloyd et al but he’s good and will find a new position pretty quickly I’m sure.
  9. My n/a has a sticker in the drivers door that says 36 rear / 33.5 psi front. It’s wheels are 19/18 of course. its quite a bit higher for ‘fully loaded’, low 40s iirc but it only has me in it usually so I stick to those as hot pressures. don’t you have a sticker with recommended pressures?
  10. I can't come along to this one (I'm running the Grizzly on the 17th and so need to fit in another long training run this weekend and, with Mother's day on Sunday, it will have to be on Sat.). Have fun, do report back on whether it's any good, and will see you somewhere soon (I may actually pop down to Plymouth for the Club Lotus / LDC meet on Thursday night)
  11. Mine went through a milestone this week, running beautifully.
  12. Hi Mike , @MPx, We were going to do this a couple of years back weren't we... and then I ended up not being able to go! I would definitely like to have a chance of finding my way around and would love to take you up on that offer - maybe even in both directions with me coming with you first and then vice versa? The car is going into SWL next week to try to get the bumper properly aligned and do a couple of other small things so I'll ask them for their view on the brakes etc while it's there. Actually @exeterjeep, the Matford 'Sanctioned' car show is indeed on the 25th too... I know where I'll be going!
  13. I think @exeterjeep may have been mistaken about the clash? -it's back to the usual Saturday of the late May Bank Holiday (which is Monday 27th):
  14. I've finally worked out that the CC track day won't this year clash with other family commitments so have signed up It will be my first track day and so any hints and tips will be appreciated - just hope the car passes the noise test! Any of the SW gang going? @MPx, @mayevora, @exeterjeep, @EGTE?
  15. @MPx Hoping to join you at this, finally. The stars may have aligned and that day may be free of other commitments!
  16. Hi Mike, Yes, I definitely majored on the cars with my wife and she was happy enough to come along and browse! It turns out that she's definitely not a Mclaren fan 🙂 Went with a neighbour who had told me about the event - he had an MR2 made to look like a 360 or whatever and I was a bit concerned at what sort of reception he'd get... luckily he wrote it off a few weeks before and so just went in his daily car 🙂
  17. To: @exeterjeep, @EGTE, @mayevora, @MPx, @DDubya, @SWLC I just booked tickets for the Saturday of Nick Mason's open garden. The Pub Lotus group on FB are planning to go on the Saturday and I went last year (though missed the big Lotus group as I went on the Sunday!). It's a busy venue but a nice drive out and a great opportunity to see a load of seriously expensive machinery in Nick Mason's garden and some nice cars in the car park. Lotus and other sports / super cars are directed to a field next to the house so you don't have to walk far and are in amongst some nice machinery. Details are here: https://middlewickhouseopengarden.com/
  18. Should be able to join in… will have to get the old girl spruced up a bit!
  19. Happy Birthday Dan… I don’t think we’ve met but I had to respond to @Bibs message as that could be my car! 2010 Aqua with Oyster (and the first owner was head of Marketing…). Can you send me the image @Bibs, that’s one for the garage wall (when I have a decent garage!)
  20. Finally watched the first season of Slow Horses on Apple TV (got a new phone and it came with 3 months free)… absolutely superb… Gary Oldman is just fantastic and Kristin Scott-Thomas is, well… 😁
  21. Fair enough - it's very Lotus branded of course but may well be driven by Hendy... @mayevora and @exeterjeep, it's a multi-day 'event' rather than coffee morning... 22-25th November. I expect they are really trying to drum up more interest in the Eletre...
  22. Another odd piece of customer communication today from Lotus... I just received in the post (and have had numerous emails) inviting me to a 75th anniversary event at my local (Exeter) dealer... It seems to be another attempt to get people to test drive the Eletre and Emira but they already know that I'm interested in the i4 (having driven the V6 ages ago) but of course the i4 isn't yet available... (despite the invitation saying that I'd have access to "the finest choice of Eletre and Emira models"!!) If the waiting times are still 1-2 years, why on earth are they spending all this money on a pretty piecemeal '75th anniversary' dealer event, when they don't have all the cars to show / try out... very odd.
  23. Thanks for sorting that Neil, looking forwards to the event!
  24. @LotusFella, I’m in Cambridge every month or so, hope to see you one of these days! Mark
  25. Really weird… saw the same car in the T2/3 business car park at Heathrow when I parked there on Monday!
