Unable to send messages from my profile

When I try and send a message to another forum member, when I send I get a little red line of txt saying that the intended forum member is not able to receive message. Anyone else had this problem?

Members can turn their PM's on and off, perhaps the person in question has them set to off. You can tag them @Gjk to let them know you're trying to get in touch.

Ok thanks @Bibs. I have found if I visit another members profile page I can message them from there.

I have occasionally had similar I put it down to the way I entered the member name.

If you're on your own profile, the system will think you're trying to message yourself which may be the issue in this instance!

 I have not had a problem in the past, it is quite a recent occurrence.
