Sat Nav Input Keyboard Gone

Recommended Posts

Since the recent software upgrade the keyboard used to input sat nav destinations has not been available - just a grey space where it used to be pre upgrade. So far I have used Hey Lotus to input destinations audibly but that does not always work well, as we know (much better than the old Range Rover Sport though). Has anyone else experienced this issue and been able to over come it?

Upgrade today to remove Google ads and support TLF.

I had this problem after the software update.  The Lotus customer care helpline people were very good in helping me to resolve it, - they guided me through doing a factory reset which is an option in the settings menu.

I have also had the keyboard disappear on upgrade.
There is an easy fix though.
Go into car settings, and change the language option from english to something else.
Then immediately change it back.

The keyboard will now appear

Yeah, its a known bug with 1.3.0.

Lang change is the better of the 2 methods (as you don't disconnect your car from online account settings), but in some cases, a factory reset may need to be performed.

I understand that this has been resolved in the forthcoming 1.4.0 from the conversations I have had.

Thanks all - I can confirm the language change fix worked well and was easy and quick, probably more so than a factory reset.

(I was tempted to select "Harsh" as a language but it wasn't one of the options).

I had this and factory reset worked. I do have a glitch on navigation now though. If you interact with another screen eg music and swipe that window away it uncentres the navigation page which is annoying.
