In my experience over the years with classics and sporty cars they dont bother about NCB because they assume it's a second car and your NCD only applies to your daily driver. It has always seemed strange to me that your NCD does not apply to all cars your drive?

The world of car insurance has always been a mystery to me...if i have 7 years no claims why oh why oh why does that only apply to one car??

last year:

CAR: Lotus Esprit V8 GT and Mini Cooper S JCW (both kept on driveway)

INSURER: Admiral multicar insurance policy

NCD: 6 years no claims

MILEAGE LIMIT: 5000 on both cars

LOCATION: Newcastle Upon Tyne

Hmmm thats interesting, fanks for dat B)

Yep mate, i've got full no claims and have used it once (for three months) in

the last ten years. GET THEM TO PUT IT IN WRITING that you have full no claims.

I had not used mine for five years, then we bought this POS rover for Vicki to learn

to drive in, i sent my proof and got no claims, no problem, despite the time i had not

used it.

^_^

I'll go further though, this is nuts:

Vicki's first car insurance was going to be a lot of money. Obviously i was going to

be a named driver, but THIS is the really interesting bit...

As i had unused full no claims, and was a named driver, Vicki had FULL NO CLAIMS

applied to her very first car insurance. Then the next year continued a full no claims

driver herself. Saved hundreds and hundreds of pounds.

Ace! But bonkers.
