Fuel tank

found that capacity of fueltanks is 82l, i ve never filled in more than 57l to empty tanks, after warning lights, i ve tryed from both sides, thats no problem, thats ok and working, also after filling fuel indicator shows full................for 57l i ll make 350-400km..........hard to believe to me that in tubes stays 20l.

what is true?

Fuel capacity is 73 litres.

On the Lotus Esprit World website they have the fuel capacity listed at 73L (16 Gal).

btw 73 or 82, thats unslove only 57 litres as full tanks:)

You'll get a lot more than 57 l in there. Have you tried with both tank flaps and fillers open? It takes some time for fuel to balance between the two tanks. If you keep "clicking" you can add a lot more (thats why you should try with boths sides open).

And the warning light comes on really early - at least on my car...

yes, i ve tryed all, both open, filling from both sides, after filling i ve tryed wait some moment to effuse................all comes to 57 liters max

yes lights is cca for 60 km

its possible thats r inside some smaller tanks??? until now i cant reach the point why is my car so light (950kg including full tanks) weighted during homologation, nothing missing there.

Personally, I don't see how your car could only weigh 950kg unless you had a stripped interior, carbon fiber body and half your engine was missing, something doesn't add up.....
