Sad to see it go...

Just watched the truck disappear up the drive for the last time. Not quite a tear in my eye, but I'll definitely miss it and its amazing V8 rumble.

Typically american it broke some records for me - it had :

the biggest engine I've owned thus far @ 5400cc Supercharged

the most torgue @445 ft lb

the biggest dimensions - length/width/height

the heaviest

the thirstiest

the best load carrier

the longest name - Ford F150 Supercrew Harley Davidson 100th Anniversary Limited Edition no 4195

Good memories from the last three years - we toured Europe and had a great experience at the Nurburgring. We put on a good show at last October's Goodwood breakfast and it was well received as my neice's wedding car getting dubbed "pimp my bride" It was seriously quick in a straight line taking a local speed challenge beating the cup holding Mitsi Evo 6 up a steep hill to 105MPH. But on the downside it was crap at corners and, the reason it had to go, it lacked towing ability. Although it could pull a house down the road, if you put it on gravel or grass it couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding and has left me stuck in some embarassing places.

Bye bye Harry - its been fun!

I always get 'attatched' to any mode of transport I've ever bought, car or bike. So as it drives off into the distance I always recall the fond memories.... (sentimental old sod that I am) and wonder if we shall ever meet again.

That truck was a bit of a beauty Mike. And so, the begging question - Whats next, Lotus number 4 or a differant 4X4?

Always do sober what you said you'd do drunk - that will teach us to keep mouth shut!
