Kerbed alloy

Recommended Posts

Aaarg!

I kerbed my beautiful anthracite forged alloy yesterday on my Evora.

Anyone in the Norwich area able to recommend someone to repair it?

:-(

Owen went to a guy on Aylsham road, and Owen will readily admit to be very very demanding in terms of finish, the guy did what most would consider a good job, but did it a second time to get it to Owen's satisfaction.

I just scrapped one rear alloy really quite badly (anthracite forged) in a multi story, not happy at all! Is there some one in Surrey who could take a look?

dare I ask how much a new one costs?

I had my standard wheels coated satin black for about £80 per corner. As that's a whole wheel, I would expect a touch up and repair to be about the same.

Bell and Colvill took care of it for me, but I think they sent the wheels to Spit and Polish which took a few days.

Anyone found any touch up paint for the stealth grey wheels? I am going to keep scuffing them slightly when parking in central London so not worth getting them reconditioned every time, but touching them up would make the marks less obvious.

Thanks

I managed to shread all around one of my rims whilst moving through the euro tunnel train recently. Downside of having a car with no space saver is the logistics of getting a wheel taken off & sent away to get sorted & being carless for a few days, bit anoying.

Crap. Hit the inevitable NYC pothole so hard the flange separated from the rest of the wheel.

The amazing thing is it's held pressure, even at speed, for two weeks.

I'm struggling to believe you are still driving around on that Matt!

Is NYC buying you a new one?

All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.
