Hello;)

I changed coolent yesterday.

The problem is that i used Anti-freeze SF.

I fully drained the car before i filled it up with new coolent.

This coolent is pink.

Hope this is not a big deal :s

Anyone know the difference between these?

On a similar theme, I've been using the recommender Castrol stuff, antifreeze.

Now hell is more likely to freeze than Coffs Harbour, so antifreeze is not necessary, I'm told there are more efficient coolants without antifreeze, so bearing in mind an alloy engine anyone got any knowledge on this ?

Antifreeze contains lubricants and corrosion inhibitors which are vital to maintaining your cooling system. Whatever you choose to replace it, make sure it's suitable as the mix of metals is electrochemically very reactive and corrosive.
