Tutorial Day II

Recommended Posts

It seems that day 1 was a success and everyone has had very positive feedback.

Firstly, anyone else interested in a similar event?

Secondly, from those who came along on Sunday, would you be interested in a follow up, any more skills you'd like to learn?

Would love a follow-up as discussed, especially looking at Ali's unique talent for location lighting!

Would also be interested in improving shots of moving targets...

British Fart to Florida, Nude to New York, Dunce to Denmark, Numpty to Newfoundland.  And Shitfaced Silly Sod to Sweden.

I'm sure from what we have learnt and also now shooting every thing we see. Then uploading to the PC and thinking I can do better and re-shoot. We will have 1000's of questions for Ali on the next one. With more kit to boot wanting to get more of the new found fix.

At the next car show your be able to spot them of us that have been on these courses. So Simon your need to sign up for the 1st one.

I'm still having problems getting my lighting right, keep getting misled from what I see on my camera LED screen and when I put them on my computer they are too dark. Also still flailing around trying to remember which manual settings are best for which situation I'm shooting in. I mostly end up shooting tons of pics on random settings and hoping one comes out right :( I'd be interested in a specialised "shooting cars on a racetrack" tutorial day for sure.

Did you pick up a copy of 'Understanding Exposure' Rache? It's pretty helpful, you'll get your lighting problems sorted after a read through.

Get the 3rd Edition (latest one) and it's less than a tenner on Amazon. :)
