S1Esprit - Poorly sick :-(

Hi All,

My usually reliable S1 Esprit has developed a leak from the water pump which now needs replacing, I can source a pump fairly easily but I've recently moved to Newark, Nottinghamshire and I'm looking for a reliable, knowedgable garage to fit it for me.

ANyone have any recommendations?

Or close to me , the other side of coventry is lotus bits in marton.id recomend them and knoW the guys well.as an indication they are the guys who maintain the james bond car, the white ppw reg.ive had a nose inside it when It was up there last year...unfortunately the submarine button must have been disabled.....

Parents come from just outside newark, I will ask if anyone knows of a good local mechanic who knows lotus. Might be someone. Should also go for a drive or something over the Christmas break!

Its a bit of a treck but id give Gerald at GST performance in Newmarket a bell..... living legend and esprit bof.. maintains many esprits and has had a few of his own. other than that Paul mattys and Lotus Bits are both great shouts...

_{I recently had a water pump replaced through Mark at Stocks Coachworks in Chelmsford and had the cambelt replaced at the same time. All good. Having said that, I echo with bells on the praise heaped on Gerald at GST in Newmarket as well!}

Had my S1 4 years and I'm only down the road at Mansfield. Never found a specialist locally. I've only needed a garage for non specialist work though.

Kelvedon motors in spalding are lotus specialists. They did the servicing on my elise a few years ago and also gave me advice on my Esprit S1. What Pat doesnt know about lotus aint worth knowing and theyre not much more than an hour from Newark.
